John Le Carré dead at 89.
The original Cold War spy novel writer. Had something like two dozen movies made from his works. I think I’ve read most of the books and seen most of the films. Not your Robert Ludlum action stories but very heavy on plot and procedure. He worked for both MI5 and MI6 in the 50s when this stuff was very real.
