I think the title of this thread was in jest but it is actually pretty close to reality.

The SEC dominate defense line is nothing but a myth. Or at least has been for awhile. Sure when two SEC schools play each other the scores are low. But that alone doesn’t mean the defenses are great.

Yes Bama has won two championships in our new playoff format, but even when winning they have given up 30 plus points. They have also lost multiple times in the playoffs when the opponent scores over 40.

LSU has just moved to adopt a more modern offense and is putting up big numbers. This just reinforces the non-dominate SEC defense stats.
