I think the nominee will be Mike Lee. He is young, 47, Conservative, Libertarian leaning. He might be a bit too pro-life for a few Republicans though.

That would be a good centrist pick. If Trump was looking to add a conservative female to the bench, Joan Larsen or Britt Grant would be options. Possibly Amy Barrett as well.

As a staunch pro-lifer, I think someone like Mike Lee would be terrific. His name was thrown in the hat the first time, although in retrospect Trump couldn't have done any better than Gorsuch. As for Judge Judy, her strident comments on her television show would unquestionably sink her nomination. It is quite apparent that to pass the Senate hearings you must hide your opinions and thoughts and tell the panel what they want to hear: "No sir, I have not made up my mind concerning _______ and will remain open minded until such a case is presented to the court." Such is our SCOTUS nomination process ever since Bork.

You Snowflakes wouldn’t be melting so hard if Senate rules still called for 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster. But Harry Reid thought the Senate should change the rules to a simple majority when they were in power to get Obama nominees thru. That doesn’t taste so good now does it?
