I've said for years that the Caps will never win anything with 8 and should trade him while they can still maximize what they can get in a trade. Unfortunately that widow is almost closed.
The Bruins stunningly traded Joe Thornton to the Sharks and won the Cup three years later. The Craps could do the same, except Ted cares more about 18,000 fans wearing 8 jerseys selling out 41 regular season home games per year. He doesn't care about hardware.
