I'm thankful that Philly/Detroit was the first game scheduled (still AM hours here Out West), rather than the last.

I'm thankful for Murica. It's truly the best country on the planet.

Let's see, I'm currently at work frying a turkey while eating a healthy slice of my famous homemade chocolate pie. Btw, my meringue is the tits.

Typing this from the 4th floor of a hotel in Austin TX.

Tomorrow I will be thankful to get back home and be the fuck out of Texas, to which I swear to never return.

I also swear to never complain about even the worst traffic in KC because it doesn't get any worse than the Fort Worth to Austin run down I-35. It took 4 hours to drive 100 miles, mainly due to construction the whole way but even on clear roads it's gridlock in this motherfucker.

They have this thing on your phone called Google Maps, it has this amazing feature on it that shows traffic. You really need a better co-pilot. It's Texas, they have roads everywhere in every direction. If you leave Austin without going to a deece BBQ joint...Why even bother to fly down there?

If he is bitching about the traffic I am pretty sure he didn't fly. There are probably close to 35 flights a day between the DFW area and Austin. With about three seconds of planning one can purchase a round trip for $100 or so. I will give him that I-35 is the suck due to all the truck traffic as it goes from Mexico to Canada but as was pointed out a quick check of the phone and 281 would be the route of choice.

Thanks for the revenue Wags.

I may be heading up I-35 to Austin from San Antonio next month.

Is that side under construction, too?

I-35 has been under construction since Wolfie lost his first tooth. It's a shit highway that seems unlikely to ever finish it's expansion.

Negative, 70 mph between the two.

It is no worse and better than some of the Houston highways which should be matching the construction of I-35. Further NAFTA has fooked I-35 permanently.

Did you just run, "my freeway is a little less or more shittier than yours" smack?

Departed Austin about 7 this morning, just got home about an hour ago. It was a fucking monsoon all the way thru TX and OK. Sanity returned once I reached Missouri.... because when you're Missouri, that's what you do.

Except in Missouri and Iowa, perhaps Minnesota.

In Texas it would appear they build random overpass ramps and toll roads where ever the notion occurs... and sell tacos at every gas station. In Oklahoma, they have casinos at every gas station.

I will never drive anywhere for Thanksgiving again. I will sit home, eat a turkey pot pie, watch football, and be very thankful I don't live in Texas.

Negative. The Houston freeways were "mine" for years as well. Just saying that that I-35 is no worse than anything inside the Beltway of Houston.

That's the way we went back, completely avoiding I-35 and DFW. It would have been fine had it not rained so much the entire trip. I mean rain so hard that every creek was a raging river and every river a lake. Visibililty was next to nil. I kept waiting for a washed out bridge and finally found one in McCalester OK, where we had to back track 10 miles and take an alternate route. 12 straight hours of driving thru a monsoon.

That was a baaad trip.

Shoot me a PM next time you need to go anywhere. I will be happy to help you find a cheap airline ticket.

Zero need to drive that in that weather when there are hundreds of options between central Texas and Miz-zou.

No shit. Chowds and socalers would kill for that sort of traffic. Especially chowds. They had to try to figure out how to put a highway system into a place that was largely built up a few hundred years before anyone even thought about building the first car. And they did a horrifically shitty job of it. It is almost as if Barry Hussein and Shillary were in charge of it. Almost.

Or the ATL and THE District. Or NYC, where I was once caught in a traffic jam outside of Queens at 1 AM.

Wags certainly reminded me of a basic thing I overlooked.

I'm THankful I'm not in Texas.
