I took astronomy in college and learned about things like dwarf stars, black holes, parallax used for measuring distance (even did some hands on measurements), speed of light in a vaccuum, red shift, quasars, pulsars etc.

but now, I know it was all just a lie.......if they're willing to lie to us about the earth being round then I know they're lying to me about everything else.....

88, it's IMPOSSIBLE for the sun to be 93 million miles from earth and I demonstrated it.

I don't run from my original diagram, comments, or analysis.

Image

-- Now look at the line on the bottom -- from Natal to Liberville, so that we can achieve the necessary 45 degree angle of the sun from Liberville.

Is Liberville, Africa 93 million miles from Natal, Brazil?

bwaaaa hahahaha!!

Is a light bulb coming on?
--

Because I clearly subsequently said to AP BEFORE you decided to post your wack diagram...

poptart wrote:I couldn't find a pic with a curved (slightly) line at the bottom of this triangle -- to represent earth curvature from Natal to Libreville.

But go ahead and assume the mild curve we would see in 3,000 miles.

This just in: It matters -----> NOT AT ALL
And that is RIGHT.
It matters not at all.

What YOU posted to show the proper earth curve validates my comment and -----> BURIED YOU.

I extended the line on your diagram, as you should have done if you wanted to be intellectually honest.

On the papers and earth scale that I showed you, the lines would have to be extended by well over 2,000 sheets of paper to reach what would be 93 million miles.

And yet it takes just 15 pages for the lines to meet.

Let it soak in.

bwaaaa...

People who WANT to pay attention to what is going on in this thread can see what just happened.
So I'm not surprised that you wanted to divert away from the diagram you posted in defense of your bogus model.

As for your link, right out of the gate, we see an ASSUMPTIONS made.

The "radius of the earth" section.

1. Assumption: Parallel rays from the sun
2. Assumption: Earth is round
3. Assumption: The angle of the shadow on the earth's surface is the same angle to the center of the earth

Based on 3 assumptions, a radius of earth is determined.

What a crock of shit.

Think for yourself.
Give it a shot.

It feels VERY good, I can tell you.

OK, dumbfukk, what is the official NASA T+2 line supposed to be? How about "WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!" or maybe " "HOLY FUKK!!!!"

Who was the astronaut? Somebody from Tehas? I guess "YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAA!!!!!!" would be apropriate.

As for the flimsy Lunar Module, maybe you didn't get the memo. Space is pretty much a vacuum. The moon has such a weak sauce grvity system that it can't even keep an atmosphere around. This makes it a kinda shitty place to live, but, it also makes it a tad bit easier to hop back into space from. Seems to me, if they were going to fake it, they'd have made it look like something out of Buck Rogers, just to convince dopes like you.

look I'm down with you on the whole flat earth thing, but dude seriously arguing that man didn't go to the moon? that's the studiest thing I've ever heard....
you do realize that while they were there the left a 2-foot wide panel studded with 100 mirrors pointing at Earth? anyone on earth with the proper equipment can use this lunar laser ranging retroreflector array to determine the distance of the earth from the moon.....I've gone to the astrophysics lab at Boise State and used it myself....when the measurement came back it showed the earth was 238,855.87 miles from the moon.....how do you think they got that laser array up there?

88,
Your link forgot to prove how Kepler came up with M.
Cassini's measurements are useless unless M is right in the first place.
So less like astronomy for dummies and more like astronomy by dummies.

And why can Kepler figure M but he cant use the same formula to figure E?

Quite obviously it was visitors from one of the other flat planets and we were just lucky to run across it. Those aliens are tricky little bastards, they were using it to look through peoples windows down on earth like high rise perverts with telescopes. They have to be pissed that we are shooting lasers at it and messing with their jerk sessions. They're going to come kick somebodys ass at Boise St....Bank on it!

I'm going to come correct on something now.
My diagram, and much of what I said in response to 88's diagram with the two arrows going up was ----> wrong and STUPID.
Amazingly stupid.
I was working quickly, and what I posted was ASININE.
lol

I deserve one of these...

Image

The upward lines on 88's diagram will NEVER meet, and a 4th grader would know that.
Yes, I surely K'dMOA there.

That said, none of my crapping the bed over the last page changes my overall view in the least.
It was just my error, of which of course I make many, and certainly in no way validates the false model I've detailed over the past 40+ pages.

You're good at making dumb excuses for your *FAILED* earth model.
It has been pointed out to you in page-after-page that there is a SERIOUS problem with your model.

CN Tower has people viewing out to 100 miles.
lol

IMPOSSIBLE if your model is correct.

This just in: It isn't

Beyond that "water is wet" point which anyone should understand, if you're viewing out to 100 miles in your model, you've got over 1 miles in earth curvature.
Everything is moving downhill from you as you look out 100 miles.
You should be able to see that things way in the distance, 70-100 miles for example, are leaning away from you.

Yet of course we don't see that.

We see a flat earth.

With the globe model we've been sold on, a person has to be well over a mile high (6,600 ft, to be precise) in order to be able to see something on the ground 100 miles away.

Even at a mile high (5,280 ft), you could only see something 100 miles away if that thing was at least 80 ft tall.

CN Tower (1,465 ft) has people viewing out to 100 miles.
lol

-- To compute the greatest distance at which an observer can see the top of an object above the horizon, compute the distance to the horizon for a hypothetical observer on top of that object, and add it to the real observer's distance to the horizon. For example, for an observer with a height of 1.70 m standing on the ground, the horizon is 4.65 km away. For a tower with a height of 100 m, the horizon distance is 35.7 km. Thus an observer on a beach can see the top of the tower as long as it is not more than 40.35 km away. Conversely, if an observer on a boat (h = 1.7 m) can just see the tops of trees on a nearby shore (h = 10 m), the trees are probably about 16 km away. --

We are in an age of amazing technology, right trolls?

HD everything.
Phenomenal camera tech.

But... can you link me up to a single video, from earth, of a rocket going up into space?

We see video of people supposedly really UP in space, yet we have no video of them actually getting there.

Shit, Ginger and Mary Ann must have really been on an island, right?
We saw them there every week.

Example of bullshit...

Watch 6:00 to 6:20 as the trumped-up GPS satellite rocket is actually coming down.

Then they cut away to a fake "See, we're up here, folks" video which only m0rons accept as true.

Show me the video of a rocket going to space.

We don't GO to space, people.

If we do, then show me.
It should be easy.

This one is curving, and it will go down, also.
lol

Satellites out the @ss up in space, all around the earth, we're told.
Yet not a SINGLE pic of one.
Not one.

Only cartoons.
They show us cartoon pics of satellites.

Eat your Lucky Charms and enjoy the Saturday morning show, kiddies.

Or... grow up and wake up.

Your call.
