MP3 Player Suggestions?

Right now I have a Creative Zen FI2 player, but the screen isn't letting me access the button for play mode (keeps thinking I'm selecting the tune to the left). So I'm wondering if there's any good new mp3 players out there that don't cost & am and a leg. I've tried the ITunes crap, and it won't let you import anything that was acquired "unofficially." According to the folder on my computer I have about 5.3 gigs of tunes to load, although it probably won't grow more that 25-50%. Any suggestions?

It's a big deal to carry a phone, but an MP3 player is no problem?
