Corpus Christi and Puerto Vallarta PET
So a few weeks ago I was running a series of flights from my hometown of Corpus Christi to multiple cities in Mexico for an oil and gas company. The Omni hotel in CC gave the company the Presidential Suite and the suits who were all at the same level couldn't decide who would get that room, so as a compromise they gave it to me:
Dining Room
Living Room
View of marina
View of ship channel
View of USS Lexington (poor quality due to humidity on much cooler camera)
View of friends boat and friends dropping me off for dinner with Oil and Gas company
Closer view of Lexington
View of CC Hooks stadium from outfield water park
Outfield pool
Ships behind the stadium. Not pictured the bridge over the harbor behind center field fence
One of the cities we were flying to in Mexico was Puerto Vallarta. So since I had some down time there the wife came down and we spent some time on the beach.
Housekeeping must have been bored
View from room over pool and bay at sunset
My view of the pool from the lounge chair
My view of the bay from a lounge chair
Hotel beach bar
Mexican navy and a boat three times the value of theirs
Mike Leach's private boat
Clear water
Required shots from commercial flight on way home
Dense Population
Crap you don't want to fly into

You turned down Midland-Odessa for that?
Judging by the pics, you had that resort in PV to yourself....

For the most part we did have the resort to ourselves. There is this thing with drug violence going on in Mexico that is scaring some Americans and rightfully so. However, the wife and I have traveled quite a bit and PVR is still on our safe list. That and school starting up and it being the rainy humid season meant we really only had a few Euros to navigate.
All but one day that is when the two cruise ships were in town. Lots of fanny packs and old folks around for those few hours.

Mclub,
I think I took three shots total. As for the pose, not long, once you find the angle of the chair back that you like you just remember the setting and sit down.
Toddowen,
Yes those are for individuals to lay down in the pool with their head above water. I tried it out, but didn't stay long, not very comfy.

I've had towels that could stand up on their own like that, but I guess that's a different kind of PET entirely.Left Seater wrote:

Nice PET.
However, the "this is my toes in a pic on a beach" thing is housewife facebook lame (experience speaking here). You're better than that, Lefty.

What is this Facebook you speak of?
Seriously am I the only person under 45 that doesn't Facebook? I haven't even ever had the desire to register.

I was beginning to wonder if that caption would even get a response. Glad it brought you a laff.

Well LTS Tedious,
Go look at the photo I took of the 737 wing over the coast on initial climb. Find and research the flaps, slats, ailerons, trim tabs, spoilers and blended winglets all of which are visible in that photo.
Once you understand the physics of these items go back and re read your take on the flight characteristics of a 757 in flight.
