Looks like he bumped his head getting into the patrol car.

Watched some interviews some years back, and Randy admitted he was not the brightest blub in the box. He said he owed it all to his manager and wife, because she ran everything.

The met him in person at some out door show he did here, and visited with him a bit. He seemed programed to interact with fans well, but boy was just not brilliant by any means.

Country singer, alcoholic, and a bit dull.....too dull in fact to call up a town car to haul his drunk ass back home. You know there has got to be cell phone video from one of the cops putting the smack down on him.

Why are you and dingus assuming his facial injuries came from a beating the cops gave him rather than from the fact that he had just crashed his car?

Just seems to be a correlation between guys being charged with "threatening" the friendly officers and a mugshot of a dude whose face looked like it was used for b.p.

Yes, but small, random facial abrasions extending halfway up someone's forehead tend to occur more often as a result of being in an auto accident. Those are the types of nicks and cuts he appears to be sporting.

Also, if you're a Texas State Trooper and you stumble upon local celebrity/hero Randy Travis who's just been in an auto accident—and he's naked along with being shitfaced drunk—are you really going to risk your career by beating the crap out of him?

I'm betting that considering his drunken, nekkid state, he was not complying with orders given at the scene. Smart money says he got planted in the ditch and suffered those superficial injuries from that. And I don't think he's gonna have any complaints about his treatment from the troopers considering that they most likely had in-car cameras running that captured his drunken defiance that included terroristic threats (felony IV)...all while naked outside his sweet TA in the ditch.

Nope....he's gonna pay the fines, his attorney, and most likely do a little house arrest with some out-patient treatment as a term of probation. Sucks to be Randy.
