You cowboys are aces with me...
Best of luck and I will pull for the team that is ACTUALLY the best as the game progresses.
I long for the days of lore...the mid nineties and early seventies when my team was actually ass kickin'.

It's a fun time for both of you...enjoy my friends..

Roll Tide
Geaux Tigers

Go Big Red...some day....

Despite what Felix said in the other thread, I dunno, I'm fairly excited about this game. No apathy here.

This should be a good one.

Nerves-based error by JJ on the first series. Loved that big stick Bama put on the RB on the first play from scrimmage. Just...bam!

"We're here!"

McCarron is tonight's Tebow...the X Factor. Bama will have to get something out of him in order to win, so yep, may as well get him started early with a couple of easy completions.

LSU looks to be struggling big time with their option running game tonight.

Whoa, huge situation developing with Maze pulling up lame following the long punt return. Lucky for LSU he did pull up there, otherwise he at least takes it into FG position, if not all the way.

He's on the level of a Claiborne for LSU, he's that important to Bama's secondary. Like they're saying, hopefully it's just a cramp. If he's out for the game, that's enormous.

They calling it a pulled hammy. That blows.

So far, Bama is having the much better of the play.

Not even Bama's kicker could miss that FG attempt.

Still, another Bama trip to the redzone...another failure to score a TD.

3-0, Bama.

By better you mean making their fg, right?

Interesting, LSU's early decision to go up-tempo as a means of getting JJ going.

This one has a strangeness to it that I didn't feel in the first game. Even though LSU is being outplayed so far, it feels to me like they're the team that will break a big play easier, and sooner. Bama looks hopeless on offense, and I mean it literally. They look to have no ability to do anything but dinks and dunks with McCarron, who is thoroughly overmatched, and is Trent Richardson even playing in this game? He'll get his touches, but it sure doesn't look like he'll be a big difference-maker.

Turnovers. Who's going to cough up the big mistakes? I'm getting the feeling that Bama will blink first.

Can Bama really build an effective offense around moving the chains, and nothing else? That'll work between the twenties, but what then?

Maybe they're planning on winning 12-3. Seriously.

Damn! Great catch, Norwood!

Look at Bama, throwing on nearly every down! Breaking tendencies, sure, but can they really win that way?

End of the 1st quarter. 3-0 Bama, with the Tide again rolling into Tiger territory.

Jsc, dunno 'bout you, but so far this one has the feeling of Georgia-LSU to me. LSU did nothing in the first half of that one either, but Georgia didn't put them away.

Bama better find a way to put it in the endzone. They won't win this thing strictly on FGs.

Awwww, and McCarron misses on an easy TD throw.

Where the hell is Richardson? Why is Lacy getting so much playing time?

49-yard FG attempt. You know they won't make it...

...and they knew it too, which is why they went for the fake FG.

Made it by the skin of their teeth, and now the spot is under review.

McCarron needed to hit that wide-open receiver for the TD. They won't get too many easy opportunities like that.

Did Richardson get hurt, and nobody noticed? Even on a key third-and-four, they're handing off to Lacy?

Man, McCarron, way to hang your receiver out to dry! BOOM!

And there's Richardson, back on the field. Total nonfactor so far.

Bama has looked better so far, but it probably doesn't mean much. This game will likely come down to who can come up with a big play or two.

Jesus fuck, another blocked Bama FG attempt.

Bama's offense is simply hopeless against LSU. The reverse may also be true, but this one still has the feel of Bama just hanging on, hoping/needing to win a battle of FGs...a recipe for disaster. They're outplaying LSU all over the field, and it's again not reflected on the scoreboard.

LSU feels like a ticking bomb.

LSU may give off the feeling of a ticking bomb, but goddamn, their offense has been horrible so far. If they keep giving Bama enough chances on offense, surely the Tide will eventually have to convert one of these things.

Won't they?

Swear to god, so far this one has been the biggest blowout I've ever witnessed in a 3-0 game. The problem is, with Bama having to throw this much, you just know they're going to be the ones to turn it over. A late throw over the middle, a tipped ball, a sack/fumble...something.

Third-and-short again in the redzone, and again Lacy gets the carry, not Richardson? Wtf is going on here?

Another FG for Bama. 2-3 so far. Christ.

6-0, Bama. LSU's offense hasn't even entered the building yet.

Okay, since they have to be roughly the same age, why do Bama's cheerleaders look like children compared to USC's or Oregon's?

For the record, no team with LSU's blundering offense can ever be considered among the best teams of all time. Not a chance.

When Jordan Jefferson is your QB...end of discussion.

Bama dominant but only up by 9. Can't let lsu hang around. The Honey Badger is always lurking. He doesn't give a shit!

Another Bama FG, although this one really was a credit to their offense. Fighting the clock, they got it down into FG position in very short order, then Shelley hit a 41-yarder.

Well, good. At least Bama is up 9-0 now, so one fluke play won't see LSU grabbing the lead. Every time McCarron drops back to pass I keep expecting LSU him to sack him and return the fumble for a TD, thus proving to Jsc how one team can seem better than the other despite losing the game. If LSU were to grab a lead in that manner, it would be a perfect example of what we've been talking about.

remember all those great games we saw a week ago?

this ain't one of them.

and that sound you hear is of TV's being turned off all over America while Herbie and Musberger desperately try to explain to us that LSU is just one or two plays away.

This has been a very tense game. I hate when LSU is within one score despite having their heads handed to them all game long, so that third FG by Bama was huge.

Now watch them go out in the second half and hang thirty-five on Bama.

Well, that wasn't exactly how LSU envisioned Bama's opening drive going in the second half. Another Bama FG.

12-0, Bama. One more Bama FG and this might be out of range for LSU.

This is like watching Harbaugh's 49ers beat down the Rams, one tiny bloodletting at a time.
