Poo-cat is one of my favorite places.

The Thai people are the nicest people I've ever come across.

I've always enjoyed watching the locals goes down to the beach at sunset and watching them clap as the sun goes down. They have such an appreciation for the simple things in life.

Glad you were able to spend sometime there.

Great PET Lefty. When I went to Thailand, I went to Pattaya (for work). Nothing like the pics you posted.

And there's nothing wrong with outkicking the coverage.

Looks like a nice place.

Did you do a lot of outdoor dinning?

Yes, most of the dining was done outdoors. just about every common area of the hotel was open air so even if you were under a roof you were still outside.

The JW Marriott has photos and a plaque in one area showing the devestation that was the "killer wave.". It was pretty much ground zero on that one.

used to be a bunch of family-run businesses on the beachfront before the tsunami but turned into a developers' land grab in the aftermath.

you roll through any of the floating markets on your long boat cruise?

actually the JW is north of the airport and away from much of the over development further south.

Yes we did hit the/a floating market. Can be a little much after awhile.
