Interesting. They don't seem like they would be very sweet though.

Might be interesting to try it with Southern Comfort instead of bourbon and crushed praline in place of the pecans for a New Orleans touch. Or add a little more cream and pipe it into profiteroles.

Sounds like an interesting twist for "Friday Night."

My mom used to make something similar for the holidays. Seems like it was sugar, some sort of oatmeal, and bourbon, sans chocolate coating but rolled in powdered sugar (which also prevents them sticking together).

Any relation to Whiskey Dick?

Speaking of bouron -- anyone ever have "hard sauce"?

I's pretty much whiskey frosting. Mix up your powdered sugar an butter, but instead of chocolate/whatever flavoring, add bourbon/whiskey.

Good chit.

Sounds like my mom's "rum balls". I think she used crushed Vanilla Wafers instead of oatmeal, though. Maybe some cocoa powder, and corn syrup or something else to help them keep their shape. No cooking or other heating involved, either.

Take it to the stigma thread.
