I forgot Amazing Grace. Prolly my favorite show (along with Monk). Just haven't watched it for a while because I've seen all of the current season.

You watching this season of Curb with the old Seinfeld cast?

The last episode was one of the funniest I have ever seen -

My DVR is set to record the following

24
Keith Olbermann
South Park
JRIB (I watch the burns and skip the rest. In total about 5 minutes of viewing time.)

Deadliest Catch
The Amazing Race (Just started watching last season. Already starting to tire of it.)
BBC World News

I'll also watch just about anything on American or New York history. For example, I'm totally immersed in the WWII in HD series on the History Channel.

I'm not much of a TV guy. Mostly sports and news. Used to love Cheer's. Will watch re-runs when they're on. Most of the non-sports/news TV I watch is the reality crap my wife forces me to sit through. I will admit that I find some of that quite entertaining- but I would never tell her that!

I don't get to actuyally watch in prime time but Hulu has made sitcoms and nightly TV available to me and the shows I have gotten into because of either it or DVD are:

The Wire - Best show ever made with the exception of the final season which went a little off the reservation. I own the entire series on DVD and probably have it memorized line for line but it still never gets old to me.
Weeds - The first two seasons were magnificent... since then it has sort of jumped the shark.
House - Hugh Laurie's character is the awesome!
Heroes - It wasn't something that I was too thrilled about at first but my little sis loves it and talked me into buying her the first season because she hadn't seen it. I ended up getting hooked because the first season was rather intriguing and full of good cliff hangers; it's also a much better show to watch straight through than weekly. It's never lived back up to the first season though.
FlashForward - Just got into it but its a nice concept.
Kings - I was bored as hell in the hospital and had caught up with everything else I watch on Hulu and gave it a shot. I ended up watching the series straight through. It's a shame that NBC virtually screwed it with the time slot and then it got canceled because it was pretty damn good; kind of like The West Wing meets the the story of King David and Saul from the bible in a modern setting.
Modern Family - funny as hell.
Community - also funny as hell.
Parks and Recreation - once again funny as hell.
Big Love - It's starting to jump the Shark.

I assume since this is a nonsmack forum what we say here doesn't leave here either so... I used to watch How I met Your Mother the first two seasons and thought it was one of the funniest shows ever created but after I got sick and started going through the divorce I couldn't bare to watch it anymore. Just reminded me too much of my wife as we used to religiously watch it together... I just would end up welling up with tears and ended up just stopping watching it. I guess its just that one thing and while I love it it's bad for me.

- Heroes
- How I Met Your Mother
- Greek (my ex fiance got me turned on to it; it's juvenile, but the chicks are smokin')
- Always Sunny...
- Dexter
- True Blood
- Entourage
- Weeds (agree with SCS about first two seasons compared to now)
- The Shield (when it was still around)
- The Wire (ditto)
- South Park
- Secret Girlfriend

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but, other than those, and more basketball (college, pro, and even high school) than any sane human being would care to admit, I can't think of anything else right meow.

liked, but lost interest:

True Blood
Weeds

Any of you watch East Bound and Down? That may have been the greatest show ever if only it lasted longer than 6 episodes. I'm hopeful HBO will bring it back for another season. I'm not much for TV shows but this one had me laughing non-stop. Other than South Park a few years back, I'm not sure there's been any TV show that's kept me laughing since Cheer's went off the air like this one. I caught several episodes Sam, missed the first few.

Unbelievable. I grew up on WWII, reading Pop's books and back then there was a PBS series called "World At War". He had the Time Life "WWII Encyclopedia" series etc..

The humanization aspect of it is necessary, in my opinion, because it is humans that wage war and suffer from it being waged.

I liked that it focused on some of the more "unsung" at history goes. The people they picked are/were amazing people.

Caught the premiere of "Men of a Certain Age". Was not wowed but drawn into the characters enough to committ dvr space for future episodes. This may take another couple mondays to develope characters and plot lines. Cast is solid and some good writing.

I am in.

Any sports I care about that are on are priority 1. Have no favorite shows so whatever grabs my attention on (in no particular order):

Comedy Central
History Channel
A & E
Discovery
NatGeo
HBO-10 channels?
Cinemax-8-10 channels?

Unless the wife wants to watch something together, then all bets are off...
