Nice job there, Skew_transplant.

Your effort made that wasteland appear to be a far better area than it is.
And where do you get the idea that it was a nice day outside? Hot and miserable.

Total rat hole down there dude. Oh wait, you're just so bohemian that you're cognizant of that, but since you're there, it is a cool place. Kinda like what the delusional think they're doing with Adams Morgan.

Used to be a good place on half street once upon a time, though.
But now I'll go to the Mall 'round them parts and that's it.

Speaking of which... the Mall is where you want to go to if you want to compose a PET that features pictures of outstanding hotties. They're easy to find. And it's friggen walking distance from where you were today.

Nice to see a DC PET that isn't just new versions of pics we have all seen a trillion times. Coulda had more hotties though. And bums and midgets. Bums and midgets add to any PET. Midget bums would be really cool.

Next time you're in that area try this place for dinner. I ate there a couple of years ago, and it was absolutely great in every way (bonus - it's only about 1.5 blocks from the metro station).

Always gotta give props where props are due. Been to DC and I know it is a shithole, but had I not been before, this PET would have convinced me to book a trip. Loved the farmers market.

Awesome effort Screwball, thanks for the shout-outs, but the day I pay $12 for a pitcher of Miller Lite is the day I quit drinking.

Nice market. KC has a nice city market located downtown. I go there several times a year just for the atmosphere, and to keep the wife happy. Peaches and cream corn on the cob, 15 ears for $5.00, will do that.

$12 Miller Lite pitchers? Holy shit. Miller Lite is DECENT beer, I will drink it if that's what is being served up. But yeah......12 bucks for it. No way. Boulevard, Guiness, Old Style, etc.....I would pay 12 bucks. But not Miller Lite.

Old Style? :pukesmiley: Might as well hammer down PBR. And you can buy a 30 pack of Old Style at CVS for like $9. Even if I liked it, $12 for a pitcher is a fucking ripoff.

It's not that Miller Lite is expensive, it's that ALL beer is expensive in D.C. No matter what you're drinking, plan on paying $4-$5 more for it in The District. I don't know how Screwball does it.

Like he said before, maybe he just crams a couple 24 ozers in his drawers when he goes out to eat.

I don't want to get you drunk, but that's a very fine Chardonnay you're not drinking.

But I like Old Style a lot more than I do Miller Lite. Miller is just kinda....meh. No way would I ever pay $12 for a pitcher of Miller even if it was the cheapest beer on the menu. I'd drink water. But Old Style.......I would pay $12 if forced to. It may be overpriced at that cost, but I would willingly pay it because I like the beer. I'm not real big on the Miller Lite and the Bud Light's. Especially Bud Light. Shit has a nasty taste. I don't mind Coor's Light though, but I rarely will order one. I'm hooked on Boulevard- must be my KC homerism! That I would pay just about any amount if need be for a pitcher.

Decent PET. Just wonder though, do you wear glasses? Some of those pics look a bit fuzzy.

Ah, but I'm sneering as well as Van at the Harley police bike. Any self-respecting PD these days is putting their officers on the far safer, much faster, and more dependable BMW police bike. Even us Alabamians are seeing more and more PDs go to them. The cops prefer them, too. At least according to my informal poll. Every single cop I've asked has raved about the Beemer.
A local agency is running these, and the officers I've talked to absolutely love it.

It's pretty incredible watching what they can do with the bike.
