If you could have one as a pitcher in your team's rotation, who would you take?

RACK ME for drafting Lincecum last year before the breakout season and installing him as one of my keepers, along with Grienke.

Zack with a slightly better ERA and fewer walks.

Tim with a slightly better WHIP and more strike-outs.

Nice tandem for a rotation. If either fucking inept offensive team could manage to score a few more runs in support, they'd both be 25 game winners.

I've yet to see any of Cain's starts this year on the tube...Lincecum is an absolute dynamo.

I'd go with Lincecum.

Have you guys seen the Padres youngster they brought up recently, probably not I suspect. The name is Matt Latos and he has been absolute nails. He's posted a 4-1 record with a 2.53 era, and regularly hitting the high 90's with his fastball. The dude has the stuff and personality to eventually be a staff ace and does not look intimidated on the mound. He might be a guy you might want to pick up off the waiver wire if he's still available and stash away in a keeper league if you have a roster spot.

I always love when people rave about a new pitcher's fast start. Latos may turn out to be good, but I never put stuck into a pitcher until the league has seen him a couple times. If after that he's still nails, you may have a keeper.

Indy I agree with you on that about waiting to judge after a young pitcher has gone through the league a couple of times but there is something different about this kid. It's not that he his throwing junk balls up there and fooling batters, he's going right in a challenging them with high heaters that have decent movement. But i'll hold off getting any raging boners over this kid until next year as he isn't going to get a chance to get a second round through the league this season. The Padres are going to shut him down in September because they don't want him to more than double the number of innings he pitched last season in the minors. Anyways i'm pretty sure he is scheduled to start Friday in St. Louis so you midwesterners should probably be able to catch his act on a local broadcast.

Of course everyone thought Rick Pitino was on the straight and narrow, too.

Nevermind.

I just got in from a ride, flipped on the tube, 7th inning 7-0.

Oh well, I need to get a helmet cam, there is so much talent that jogs up and down the coast in the mornings and evenings, ........
