not a big fan really, but:

Industrial Disease
skateaway
once upon a time in the west
sultans
romeo and juliet

not a fan of Brothers in Arms. i was working in a record store when it came out and would put it with Peter gabriel "So" and genesis "invisible touch" as records i never want to hear again.

Don't forget Yes "90125" and Steve Winwood's "Back in the High Life".

The Hall of Fame For 80's Sellouts.

Toss Synchronicity and Unforgettable Fire/Joshua Tree on the stack, as well.

As far as the DireStraights go...

Skateaway
Lady Writer
Sultans

Pretty much the only ones that pop to mind above any of the others.

Don't forget any album Foreigner made after "4" and every album REO made after "Hi-Infidelity".

Of course the Babe Ruth of overplayed 80s sellout schlock is none other than Phil Collins' "No Jacket Required".

What's next, 5 best Police songs?

The only more overplayed garbage than D'yer Straights around here would have to be the Police. I want to shoot any and all radio station programmers who think anyone wants to hear Sultans of Swing or Every Breath You Take for the 9 millioneth time.

If you had a fucking brain, Whitey, you wouldn't be listening to commercial FM radio in the first place. Your stupidity never ceases to amaze.

I used to like REO when they first came out, until they turned into even bigger sellouts than Styx, which was incredibly hard to do. I think they had some kinda' competition going to see who could become the most popular cunts. What they did with their later albums simply trashed anything they may have accomplished earlier.

As for Foreigner, yeah... but they get a lifetime pass because Head Games was and still is so damn good.

Yet I'm not the dumbfuck who posted a "best 5 Dire Straights songs" thread or the guy who thinks MGMT "rocks".

Nothing I could ever do would match that feat. Why you haven't crawled off into the basement and died of shame never ceases to amaze.

Mark Knopfler is one of the most critically acclaimed musicians of YOUR generation, yet you still jerkoff to AC/DC and other three-chord butt rock.

Have at it, Tiger. Then go fuck yourself.

Screwey, since you're young and dumb, I'lll help you out...

Usually, when speaking about pop/rack music, the terms "critically acclaimed" and "boring" are often interchangable, in much the same way "Screw Michigan" and "dumbass" are interchangable.
