We must start this thread off with a little history... and some "Rock and Roll".

The truth.... was at this concert back in the day.... Queen/ Thin Lizzy... LIVE at WINTERLAND !!!

The Emerald

Down from the glen came the marching men

I start walking down Mission and what do I see? None other than the Cal Band blocking traffic on the eastbound side of Mission.

Cal Band comes marching into Yerba Buena.

Donald Duck impostor shows up with the Miami band, cheerleaders, and dance squad in tow.

Miami's cheerleaders.

Cal Band playing fight songs and the Emerald Nuts canister mascot getting down.

Miami's band. They sounded weak.

Tedford talking some more. Some Miami fan behind me said "somebody forgot to tell him (Tedford) to only bring three players. He didn't get the memo!" in regards to the fact that Miami only brought three players.

Oski was doing some dancing and stuff while the Cal Band was playing. Then when the Cal Band finished, Oski kept dancing and fooling around. The Miami band started playing so the Miami Cheerleaders came over and started to dance. Oski's back was turned to them so he didn't know he was dancing in front of the Miami cheerleaders when they were doing their thing. The brunette cheerleader in the front politely got Oski's attention and alerted him to the fact that he was sort of in their way.

Miami does this thing where they put their hands up in the air, palm open, with fingers apart and shake their hands. Then their cheerleaders put their hands down, and then they yell something which I couldn't understand.

So then, the pep rally ended after about 30 minutes. The Cal Football team began walking to the St. Francis hotel for the Luncheon. Here is a picture of the Double Tree Hotel.

If Cal doesnt win by 2 TDs the pac-10 is a joke.

Miami has 5 suspended from the game with one being Marve.

Plus the time zone factor. mTool knows that time zones decide football games.

Marve got suspended so Miami's 2nd string QB had to play. Harris probably had never run a 2 minute offense. That was the first game he lost as a starting QB since...well before high school.

Why would that carry over to the Pac 10, fecal went from 1938 to 1990 without winning a single Bowl Game and it wasn't until 1992 that they won a real Bowl Game (in 1990 they beat Wyoming in the Copper Bowl by 2 points)
Time Zones are only a factor if you travel the day of or the day before the game, teams arrive a week before Bowl games

Not always. Finals weren't done at ND this year until December 19, the Hawai'i Bowl was on December 24.

As a condition of agreeing to play, ND had to get permission to get to Hawai'i late this year. But the team got there enough in advance that jet lag wasn't a factor, obviously.
