Texas A&M vs. Rice

Games begin tomorrow. I don't know a lot about Rice other than they spanked us 11-2 in College Station. Neither team started thier ace. Rice started the 3/4 pitcher in Ojala and A&M started their 3/4 pitcher as well. Lots of games have happened since then so it's a new season. A&M bats heated up after a 7 game slump, and their pitching has been lights out giving up only 14 runs in 5 games in the regional which is pretty good in college ball while scoring 53 runs in the same 5 games.

This series may come down to home field advantage. Hope A&M comes to play as I think they will. My head tells me Rice in 3 but I'm going with my heart on this one. A&M will win game 1 in a close one 9-8. Game 2 Rice will throttle us 14-3. Rubber match will go to extra innings where A&M pulls it off 7-5 in 12 innings.

Sig bet between Lefty and I. Sig will remain in effect until the END of the CWS run for whoever makes it there.

Gig'em Ags.

Ags will certainly be fired up after the quick 0-2 last year at Reckling. In fact I understand they had a picture of the last out of that series up in their locker room all year. I think the Ags are better than last season and agree that this series will go 3 games. I see the Owls winning game 1, losing 2, and rolling in game 3.

Sig bet is on.

What would be awesome would be to see a live one on the sidelines. Hell, I would be happy to let it live at my house in the summer, damn fireants.

Two out hits are great! Scoring runs with two outs even better.

Ags fans were pretty cool today, but the grumbling about three in a row was all over the tailgates after the game.

Look for brooms around againt tomorrow.

Rack the Rice Owls. Props to them for keeping it local for a CWS appearance.

Rumple,

The guys over at Cougar Park did a great job last weekend when I was there for the HS Region 3 playoffs over three days. Granted they weren't the normal baseball staff since those guys were in College Station for the regional, but they took good care of us. In fact I have a 2008 - 2009 Houston media pass since they were all out of the 2007 - 2008 passes. So any Cougar sporting event you want to attend let me know and I will meet you there. Nothing like going to sporting events for free.

Holy shit! Fuck yeah, Left Seater. Thanks, man.

I can't wait to attend another football game because the last one I went to was the Tulsa game in Tulsa. Yep, drove over 8 hours with the Mrs. to Tulsa just so I could watch my Coogs get stomped 56-7. The Mrs. will never travel again for another UH game.

I need to get that game out of my system.
