Grey Cup 2007

Post by Canadian »

Well Winnipeg beat Toronto 19-9 :) but lost their starting quarterback for next week. Lions have tied it 10-10 after a rough start letting Sask go up 10-0 after a couple of turnovers.

Hopefully the lions can win it today. But Sask just picked it off again and are in scoring position so maybe not....

I hope Toronto has a good turn out for the Grey Cup unlike some previous years they hosted it.

I will pick Saskatchewan to win the Grey Cup due to their play today and Winnipeg losing their starting quarterback.

Saskatchewan deserves it. Afterall, they finally got their first home playoff date in what was it, 20 years?
But the way my luck is lately, whatever team I pick, bet the other to win.

I thought it was quite a sloppy game.

Sask's defence came up big in the 23-19 victory as they only got one offensive touchdown.

But Winnipeg's starter was out with a broken arm and the back up's inexperience was the difference as the game right down to the end could of gone either way.

Would Sask of won if Winnipegs starter was in game? I would say unlikely but that is sports and injuries are a big part of it.

As they would say in the USA:

"Congratulations to the Saskatchewan Roughriders World Champions 2007".
