Damned, Seer. Same ole shit, different season.

When he gets his ring, cool... til then, he's another superstar that hasn't grasped the concept of "team."

He has 3 rings...

I am not saying Kobe is the best "team"....I am saying he is the most talented "player"...

Younger - check.
Faster - maybe.
Stronger - no.

Kobe with Shaq have 3 rings. Wade with Shaq has one. Shaq's wheels are suspect - maybe never to return close to what he was....enjoy the one ring.....

No, you didn't. You said he was still the best player in the league. Some might argue that he's not the best player in Los Angeles.
Looking at the timing of your post, you're probably basing at least part of this assumption on the boxscore from the Utah game. Of course, you probably didn't notice that Utah was coming off of a back to back after a monster game with San Antonio, and that the Jazz had broke-assed Kirilenko (aka "The Gimp") defending Kobe.

As far as rings, the common denominator here is Shaq. Kobe hasn't done shit on his own. Any player that participates in team sports and can't play within the team concept can hardly be the best at anything. When the most important thing to a player is stats instead of rings, he is wasting whatever talent that he possesses.

I will give him partial credit though. He's among the league elite and is definitely a top 10 player. But the best? Only through rose-tinted glasses of the classic, myopic homer.
