People continue to sell the Seahawks short.

I'll give them their props. They are clearly the class of the NFC. However, I don't think it's selling them short to say that I can't see them winning.

It's a more general statement from an objective bystander with no stake in the game. Your team is involved so of course you see them winning. 80% of all I have read about the Bowl so far has been Pitt, Pitt, Pitt. Not that I don't think the Steelers are a solid team capable of winning the game because I think think this game is much too close to call. Thus, my overtime prediction. I'm simply saying that Seattle is much better than they have been given credit for.

Unfortunately for the conference I am loyal to, being the "class of the NFC" didn't require much this season. The sound of the bandwagon crashing will be a very sweet thing in the U&L...be a whole buncha "I told you so" being dealt by me towards the gravytrainers.

And the old joke will still apply:

Why doesn't Portland have an NFL team?

Because then Seattle would want one too.

Hard to say I'm not selling them short when I pick them to lose by 28 (nee.....31), but I'm not really. I think they are a very good football team, but I think there is a lot working against them Sunday.

It will be as close to a home game as anything in my Super Bowl memory, and they are going up against a very hungry, and also very good Pittsburgh team that has a lot of playmakers on both sides of the ball.

In the big game, these things can sometimes snowball and get away from a team. I don't think the Steelers are that much better, it's just how I see things going on Sunday.

Steelers - 27
Seahawks - 13

With this being said, I am most likely throwing on Seattle in the morning.

I still do not know what to make of Seattle but they looked damn good two weeks ago. I believed Pittsburgh would be this good by this time so I expect them to thump 'em but I am not comfortable betting it for some reason (ah hem Willie Parker). Too many people aren't giving Seattle credit and , well, those radio listeners and what not, they're usually wrong. I am honestly into this one mostly for The Trojans on the field.

Congratulations to the fans of these teams! It sure is fun getting here, isn't it? I've seen my secondary boys dominate one and my #1 boys be one of the greatest losers. It sucks to lose but if you're lucky, you'll feel as good as I did when my boys finally had to bow down. Oh and I can't forget about my boys going down to The Steelers way way back...when that other team was my boys. Be thankful just to be here and enojy the fuck out of it.

Good luck to both.
...and may the half time show continue to suck balls.

For only 6 weeks this time, or until the NCAA tourney starts, since niether one of us gives a babs' douchebag about the participants.

P.S. If you intend on being easy on me again, six weeks, if not, a week, bro.

Up to you. Duke is NOT going to win the NC, btw. Motherfucker.

I was confident Seattle would destroy the Panthers and....I was right.

I am not confident that this game is anything but a stone cold tossup.

So, why would I make a sig bet on it? Especially when I remain undefeated against you in the Babs' Douchebag series?

If Duke does NOT win the NC I can assure you it will NOT be because of a Little 12 team. 'Sup T'Sips?

Well, if you are asking who I am referring to, I am a former Rams fan but when they bailed out, I bailed out.

If you are asking currently, well about a decade ago, I lived with this fool from Seattle. I began following The Mariners, Sonics and Seahawks a tad. I never really had much cause for cheering for any of them and they were usually our bitches anyway. Actually, things were rolling pretty good for The Mariners and Sonics back then but I was never on the band wagon. When Trent became a Seahawk, I was like, well if I had to pick a #3 it would be them and I threw on them to make that late season surge the year after I hit Baltimore. They can piss off about now. :P

My third favorite team is The Crumplers.

You want some sig bet action?

Actually, if the 'hags somehow manage to keep this game close and find a way to win, I'll be the first one to come correct and give them their due.

I just don't see any way of that happening.
