Pick'em Games Week 6 Results

Post by indyfrisco »

Congrats to both At Large and Harvdog. Both had 7 correct picks and both had a variation of 5 so they are co-winners for week 6. That means one "At Large" bid to the finals is now gone. How ironic! Cornhusker and Adelpiero tied for 3rd with 6.5 correct picks.

Here's the results.

Finalists

For the season, Cornhusker has jumped to a point and a half lead on Terry in Crapchester who is followed close behind in a tie for third by At Large and Nolesy.

Keep up your % pace and you'll be in the finals, no problem.

By far, last year was our best year as a whole on picks. I will try to post something soon with our year after year results the last 5 years. It'll be interesting to see the results.

All it takes is 1 good week to make the finals.

And hey, we HAVE had someone get 0 picks right before. Last year, itsanalias in Week 2 got 0 correct.

3 last year got 1 correct. hardcrow, Prototype and this year's leader, Cornhusker.

Sadly, I was going to take Texas. (Kinda like the Corso Karma...) I'd have tied them too.

I don't ever remember getting a game 1 correctly, although I'm sure I have (been playing this game as long as it's been going on...on and off). Fuck, you'd think just by sheer 50/50 odds, I'd have gotten one!

I always take A&M's opponent. That way, if we win, I could give a shit about the pick'em games. If we lose, at least I get a point in the pick'em.

What sucks is when we are the dog, I pick our opponent, we lose but we cover. Nothing makes me madder. :x

Thankfully I had a savant week and am in the finals. Since then my picks have been for shit.

How can that be? At Large was also the Week 2 winner. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that have the effect of making Harvdog the undisputed winner this week?

Or does At Large get two bids in the finals?

Obviously, you all can see the natural progression in my success ratio. As the season wears on, more facts become available. Being able to decipher those facts in a comprehensive manner is what separates myself from all you "common" fans.

That boost of a full game over last week was no fluke.

The meteoric rise in my picks in the coming weeks will make you dizzy...
