Personally I wouldn’t hang out in here if we all agreed politically or otherwise. I can’t imagine anything more boring.

I may disagree vehemently with a post, but rational back and forth is both entertaining and enlightening (at times). The garbage, repetitive shitshow featuring JPG and Kierland is mercifully over. That kinda crap was alienating posters and destroying the board.

Disagreement is normal and healthy. We can all learn something from one another.

I joined in 2005 and you can definitely tell a shift in the boards heavy political banter when social media was getting more and more popular. I guess Trump’s election is what kicked that into overdrive.

Our echo chambers became stronger. People have just stopped considering both sides of an issue.

I imagine if social media, instant reaction, podcasts, and all other outlets that keep us in our comfort zone never existed; this board would be tolerable.

If you are comfortable with your political views and you care enough about other people to make politics a priority in your life then this board is not just tolerable but enjoyable. If you are a fucking POS who doesn’t care about people then it probably sucks to have your shit takes thrown back in your face time after time.
