I appreciate it more the older I get. I can't imagine anyone else in the role.

Fiat, is that Gordon Ramsey?

Shirley temple could've been dorothy.
Also, check out the late Eva Cassidy's version of it.
You'll never want to hear any other version again.

1996. That's the grown up version, the version a parent sings while watching their kid in the next room or in the yard. She's over the rainbow, as in she's over it (in two senses). She's there. The commenters are right, excellent guitar work.

Unexpected but appreciated choice of mood music, to round out a winter evening. Thank you, EAP.

(and Shirley would have been cute, but a Shirley Oz wouldn't be a classic Oz. Judy brought the right mix of budding adulthood.)

You are correct sir. That's Judy's role for all time.

Eva's interpretation of those lyrics is stunning. An entirely different tone and reading.

Some great artists have been known to take a writer's words to a higher level.
There are several examples.
But 3 truly iconic artists come to mind.

YouTube is an indispensable tool for examining the critically acclaimed studio recordings of these icons.
Their bodies of work in the studio are second to none.
Obviously there are more examples, but these 3 have always stood apart, setting the bar ridiculously high.
