Players from Michigan:
Michigan 49 (Notables: Devin Funchess, Devin Gardner)
Michigan State 42 (Notables: Jeremy Langford, Tony Lippett)

Players from Ohio:
Michigan 24 (Notables: Jake Ryan, Frank Clark, Jake Butt)
Michigan State 27 (Notables: Connor Cook, Kurtis Drummond, Marcus Rush)

Players from other B1G states:
Michigan 18
Michigan State 26

Players from the rest of the country:
Michigan 23
Michigan State 14 (plus 4 from Ontario)

Michigan State is basically pulling players from the same states as Michigan...both are heavy in Michigan and Ohio. State probably does the best in terms of the Midwest right now and I'd say the majority of their talent comes from this immediate area. Michigan still can get the odd impact player at the skill positions and the "athletes" in the bigger states. I don't think it's any secret that State has been able to do more with less notable recruits.
