I went to see Led Zeppelin and Derringer at "Day on the Green" in 1977.
Hands down Led Zeppelin was the worst live band I've ever seen. After we found out about the fiasco that happened backstage. Bill Graham said Led Zeppelin will never play in America again. And they never did. Bill Graham had that kind of power as a promoter. Glad they were never let back in America to play while Graham was alive.
What a crock. Zeppelin’s tour was canceled when Plant’s son died a couple days after that concert.
Graham was definitely the biggest and most powerful promoter of that era, but he had nothing to do with Zeppelin not finishing that tour.
Did they ever play in America again?
While Graham was alive?

They did not. He’s the one that probably gave the kid the virus.

Oakland legend Marshawn Lynch shines in 'Bottoms,' the funniest comedy of the summer
A lot of shit happened during that tour, which was their final tour in the US, but I don’t see anything about Graham black listing them. Plant’s young son died, Page often could barely function due to his heroin addiction, their road crew apparently included a bunch of London thugs, violence at a lot of the shows, etc. And they had pretty much started to jump the shark by then anyway.

Good stuff, Mikey.
As I pointed out on the previous page, Plant’s son’s death killed the tour. Absolutely nothing to do with Bill Graham.

1st OOC game outside of the state of Florida in 32 years.
And you wonder why the SEC always has a team in the MNC... Too funny.
Too bad Utah won't have their star QB playing tonight.
ESPN blanked out here just as game was about to start. US Open tennis on ESPN2 also. WTF? Did Spectrum forget to pay up?

I wish we could play the SEC in every out of conference game. The PAC would have been in the MNC game every year
By continuing his stupid comments, I would suggest he has fallen into his own trap. Really stupid and childish to continue to argue something that has been exposed as incorrect. But please carry on. In case there may be one or two posters unaware of the depths of m2’s idiocy.
Alabama, Georgia, Auburn and LSU are 46-13 against PAC schools.
Overall: SEC is 78-46-5 against the PAC.

Now we know why the sec NEVER leaves the south for OOC games.
Utah is clown stomping another sec team that leaves the south with their 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks.
It's best that Florida and the sec don't leave the south for another OOC game for another 32 years.
Their advantage of playing at home in the heat and humidity vs. teams from the PAC won't work when they have to come out WEST and play football.
Too funny.

Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell can continue with his work schedule, congressional physician says
The Kentucky Republican's office released a statement from Dr. Brian Monahan saying that he had consulted with McConnell and his neurology team and cleared the senator to continue with his schedule. He did not say if he had examined McConnell personally, and he did not provide any additional details or a diagnosis.
"After evaluating yesterday’s incident, I have informed Leader McConnell that he is medically clear to continue with his schedule as planned," the short statement read. “Occasional lightheadedness is not uncommon in concussion recovery and can also be expected as a result of dehydration.”
McConnell’s office has only said that he was feeling “momentarily lightheaded" when he froze up on Wednesday...
