Baylor/SMU

Good grief -- Baylor's defense is a train wreck.

Offense looks outstanding. And their defense is making SMU's offense look outstanding.

Just got home about an hour ago and was looking forward to watching Shawn Oakman play. Was dismissed from the PSU squad for disciplinary reasons. An absolute beast. Regrettably (and not so surprising), he was held out of Baylor's first game for the same reasons. Anyways, wanted to watch him play.

Almost a half into game 1, and I'll venture to say -- Baylor isn't a contender. Sure, kinks get worked out as the season progresses... but that's a lot of kinks to work out.

The only time Art Briles or Baylor plays defense is when they are trying to deflect any heat in regards to indicted rapists on the practice field. Not sure what is more of an abortion, the defense of color by Mack Brown.
