I was kinda thinking "no" on Sasquatch, since the inappropriate, inaccurate, gravytraing name of the amphitheater pisses me off.....but we've been through this before. And those $8 beers RULE!!!!

But now, due to extenuating circumstances, I may be making some trips to Spokane over the next few weeks, so there's a chance.

Where is Endfest? Not that I can't catch all of those bands in a club every few months, but what the heck.

Oh, and Festival Season started this week here. From now until September, there's just about always something going on at the Waterfront. I generally skip the first one, which is the Cinco de Mayo Festival. If I want to observe drunk Mexicans in their native habitat, I just need to walk outside my front door, and I don't have to pay $4 a beer for the priviledge.

Next up, the Big One -- Rose Festival. Thje whole freaking city/metro area goes balls-to-the-wall party for about a week-and-a-half. They discourage us locals from getting drunk and beating up the multitudes of tourons and Navy boys that come into town, but we manage to have fun anyway.

As usual, I'll come up envious of the U&L - aw hell, most of the nation - when it comes to summer music events. The Three Rivers Arts Fest has been pretty good in recent years, but the lineup's pretty lackluster this year.

That's because the U&L has BODE on.....well......EVERYONE.

But you'll get over it. I may not, but you will.

I dunno, though -- it seems like over the last couple of years or so, everyone and their brother is moving here to be "hip." I hear about all of these indie bands hanging out, and it seems like I'm always saying "wait -- they're not from here." Eventually you bode-challenged wannabes are going to fuck my town up, musically. You already have, population-wise.

Hello to you my Smackchat friend
I hope it's cool to call after ten
Together we collect clone's IP's

Learned how to be good pile-ee's
Called to owls up in the trees

Goodbye my friend I'll now call Py
He doesn't mind if I whine and cry
At least he never said he cared

Personal info everywhere
Give a hint and I'll be there

We had joy we had fun
Watching Shrubber's ass get run
But the seals that got chomped
Were just tard-posts to be stomped

Hello my Heels please pray for me
You know I'm from a Jewish family
And for this I get piled-on

They cut the tip off of my schlong
Under orders from my Mom

You're just obsessed -- I'm not a tard
Although I talk to owls in my yard
Or at least when there's a full charge on my chair

Evening Minutes everywhere
When that phone rings you know I'm there

We had joy we had fun
Watching Shrubber's ass get run
Running up huge phone bills
While OD'ing on the pills

Agreed, but the spot, as you know, is damn fine. The "town" is a fucking DUI trap, so I generally "camp." It softens the blow of the $8 beers when I've got a cooler full once the show's over.
Where is Endfest?
White River. Now, there's a venue that truly fucking sucks. Waited 20 fucking minutes for a beer at the Radiohead show. Haven't been back since, and I'm still deliberating.

That's out by Puyallup/Bonney Lake? Am I thinking of the right place?

Never been there(the amphitheater....I've obviously been through the area).

Upon further review.....sure, the spot is fine. But, considering if I'm heading to a show there I'm going to be consuming beer the entire way(assuming I'm not driving, of course), then it necessitates driving the spped limit, rather than the customary 100mph through Nowhere, WA. At legal speed, that's like a 5-5.5 hour drive from my house -- actually, a lot longer, what with the customary stop for lunch and libation at the Hood River Brewery. And there's a whooooooole buncha really cool places within a 5-6 hour drive from my house. Fuck, if I'm going for an outdoor show, I might as well drive the extra couplefew hours, and go to the Bay Area, where it isn't going to be 1000 degrees farenheit for the show.

Not even out on the prairie on Memorial Day weekend. Low to Mid 70's with shit getting chilly once the sun descends upon the double wides. It's the one time each year I set foot east of the mountains.

That's the catch "over there."

Could be perfect, could be freezing, could be 150 out.

Only certainty is it will be way too cold at night. Not like up at elevation, like the Oregon desert, but still too damn cold at night. Speaking of -- I still haven't checked out the new Les Schwab Amphitheater yet......speaking of arid climates at 3600 ft of elevation. They seem to be pulling deece acts these days, but there's a lot of shitkicking going down, which I assume is pandering to the Calis that think they're "country," which is pretty much the type of person who up and moves to Bend. Transplants fucking that town up to all hell.

I was speaking with a chick from Boston a few days ago, and she used a term I'd never heard before - "Central Washington." I started laughing, and explained that there is Western Washington, and everything east of the mountains is Eastern Washington. There's no fucking center.

You mean in Seattle, there's people from other places who are bound and determined to tell you all about the Northwest? " :shocker:

AKA "the Midwest."

Same deal here.....the Bendies and other Drysiders get all bent when you call it "Eastern Oregon." The lack of moisture dries out their brain, I guess.
