It did suck.

I told the wife about halfway through, it was probably set in Now time.

Shalmalama did great with 6th sense and signs was OK, but the Village and Invinceible (Think that was the title were dogs)

Anchorman was bad, as was Old School as is many of those SNL castoff flicks...they're shit.

I liked Anchorman. Didn't see The Village, but Chronicles of Riddick was the worst POS I saw last year.

Yep...I basically refuse to go to theatres nowadays...

I'll go for a flick like LOTR, Matrix, Saving Private Ryan...but none of the alleged comedy films, chick dramas, etc.

Yeah, thanks for giving your opinion of year old movies.

I'm waiting anxiously for your review of On the Waterfront.

DVD Reviews:

King Arthur - was decent. Never got a B-flick feeling from it, but it could have been done sooo much better. Grade: C-

Anchorman: I go to this little hole in the wall DVD rental place...get new releases for $1.50/night. This one was $1.49 too much. Grade: F (feel free to make up a grade low enough)

Elf: This is the Will Ferrell (sp?) movie to rent. Good for the whole family. Watched it with my two boys and my Mom and every one of us enjoyed it. Grade: A-

Troy: L........o........n.........g.........f.......u.......c........k.......i......n.......g......m........o........v.......i........e. That said, did a decent job. Even at 3 hours, I think it fell short of character development. Maybe should have made this a two parter and put in a little more time. Grade: C+

I was a bit disappointed that I jonesed and forgot to pick up The Village this past weekend, but now I'm not sure it was a bad thing.

Ok, watched The Village over the weekend, and I actually liked it. It made you think. It was kind of annoying after awhile with all the "those we do not speak of" and "the towns" BS, but ultimately it was kinda cool how they wove their way to explaining what the hell this Village was all about. Couple of good minor jump scenes, but nothing totally creepy. Once you get the flow of a Shamalama movie, you can kinda anticipate where he's gonna throw in a "jumper".

Anyways, decent. Wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be....definitely makes you use your noodle.

"Something the Lord Made"

Best show you'll see in a long time. Hits close to home for me so maybe you won't like it as much as I did, but it's still a damn fine flick.
