Cal vs. Oregon....

Post by Blueblood »

Yep, time once again to show why 99 % of the College Football forum here can NEVER get anything right.....

My call.... is Cal by 3 to 4 TD's.

... and I'll be enjoying some of the finest Northern California dry blue wine..... in my decadence.

Maybe...

Cal is rightfully favored in this game. Even with a schedule of cupcakes, Cal's performed better than Oregon has.

Of course, Oregon also is the best team they have faced so far, playing at home. And the game against Minnesota was in doubt late in the 4th quarter, so I won't be suprised to see Cal's early hype once again go down in flames.

Pssst.... let me you in on a little secret.....

Cal returns 17 starters on a 9 win team.

And to say they reloaded would be an understatement.

Oregon LOST 15 starters....

Seriously, this could be the worst beat down in the PAC 10 in the last 30 years.

Cal has been "Vanilla" on both O and D coming into conference play and they are actually destroying teams....

Just ask the best wide-receiver in the Big 10....

Image

Cal going Vanilla.... and just 'toying' with Minnesota for 14 points in the first few minutes of the first quarter...

Image

I won't show you Decker's face coming off... from the hit..... but, I will show Isi, just lighting up a Minny on special teams..

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/o7l-ZvI0qBc&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/o7l-ZvI0qBc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/youtube]

The last 3 games before conference .... Cal has gone 'Vanilla'.... Oregon has no idea what is about to hit them.

riesling is nearly always a sweet, semi-sweet wine.

additionally, the bottle you have pictured is from Alsace, France not California. look familiar? see link below pic.

If Cal doesn't cover the spread in this game, I will hunt m2 down at the next renfaire in Bonner Springs and make funny faces at him.

That's not a threat.

Trust me... Cal is the best college football team in the country... and it's not even close.

Re-visit this thread in 3 weeks when Cal has taken down Oregon (on the road) in the loudest stadium in college football...

... they take down U$C the next week... and will take down fUCLA the week after without a bye week.

Hell is coming to this board....

and.....

m2 is the truth

Even funnier (besides reisling being German, as opposed to the garbage the French make), is (and I could be mistaken), that Oregon grows more reisling than california does...

Odd choice of wine to drink while watching your team get hammered by Oregon.

If nothing else, the Ducks' fanbase has increased by precisely one BTPCFB membership this week.

Hell, just the folks on this board are going to be rooting so strongly, it's going to have a telekinetic/ESP æffect on how the ball bounces, which should be good for at least 7 points.

Cal will blowout the duckies... by 3 to 4 TD's.

Worse case scenario... Cal gets bored and falls asleep during the 2nd and 3rd quarters and wins 31-17. (ON THE ROAD)

it's only a matter of time until there are "Cal will score on every play!!" posts.

there's not much room left in the hyperbole cabinet.

U&LU beat Purdue by 2 at home.
ND beat Purdue by 3 on the road.
U&LU beat Cal by 39 at home.
College oddsmakers give 5 points for home field advantage.

Therefore . . .

ND should be favored by 45 vs. Cal in a hypothetical neutral-field matchup.

And just in case anyone doesn't follow, I don't really believe that. Just copying the sort of "insight" we regularly get from m2oodles -- well, that and really big pictures of the Bay Area.
