Olathe is the fastest growing suburb in the area and one of the pricier addresses, despite being in Kansas whom I also despise
You can get some decent prices on housing down there though. I actually had a condo because I still had my home back here. I didn't find it to be anymore expensive than much of the rest of Johnson County, though I am not up on home values down there since I was not a home owner.

White trash.... says what ?

Why don't you say you lived in Bonner Springs or any other shithole off of highway 7 ???
Probably because Jon's not a fucking liar, like you.

Shit for brains.... he didn't even know highway 7 went from Olathe to Leavenworth... which goes through Bonner.

Why am I 100 times smarter than anyone from the midwest ???

Seriously, your people are bringing down America faster than any terrorist could....

Why on earth would I EVER go up to Leavenworth? I don't know anyone from there and I don't know of anything worth seeing up there.

Wow, congrats dipshit. You went to Mapquest and found Bonner Springs/Leavenworth on there.

And for the record, I did know where Leavenworth is and I'm not sure where in the hell I said I didn't. Just because I don't know every pit stop in between doesn't mean I don't know where something is.

In Money Magazine's list of top 100 places to live, you see three of the top 10 are "midwest" locations.

http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag ... 09/top100/

One in Minnesota, one in Wisconsin, one in Missouri.

And there are MANY more "midwest" locations listed within the top 50, while there are NO California locations.

None, zero.

Shit, even Urbandale, IA (42) and Batavia, IL (56) comes in before ANY Cali' location is listed.

lol

THAT is fucking funnay.

The first California location listed is #70, Walnut, and by that time, there must be a good 15 or 20 "midwest" locations listed.

What's Walmart good for? Tylenol, Laundry detergent, Paper towels or just about any other consumable - so yea, it's got a purpose.

m2 knows bonner Springs and K7 - and there's a valid reason for this. Other than that he was / is a tourist.

Wags - Independence is a shit hole anything west of Lee Summit rd / north of 35th street.

Aside from your consistent butchering of apostrophe usage, this is just the most absurd statement I've ever read. Walmarts aren't located DOWNTOWN because of bad location? Of course you're really this stupid.
Let me first say this........... If I have to explain to you why a downtown area would make for a bad location for a store like Wal-Mart, then I seriously suggest to you that you never run your own business.

You're flat out clueless dude. Wal-Mart could afford to put a store ANYWHERE. They put them in locations that will be the most profitable. If they felt downtown was profitable, they'd put stores there. It doesn't make any sense to put a big store like that in a downtown.

Stay away from business related subjects because, much like football........you're clueless on the subject. Stick with calling people names and leave big people stuff to the rest of us.

Rents per square footage are too high in downtown areas for Wal-Mart to pull their expected profit.
Yes, that is part of it.

The other factor is the consumer. Would you go downtown to pick up a toothbrush, a pair of jeans, a DVD, and grab some groceries?

Overall it's just a poor location for basically any city of any size.

Now that makes no sense. Are you saying you wish Wal-Mart was downtown or are you saying you blame some store located in the burbs for downtown not having a place you can buy yourself a god damn toothbrush???

Walmart kicks ass. Where else can you get glazed doughnuts, KY, water pistols, mulch, a Totally 80s CD box set, a pearl snap western shirt, and nicotine patches at 3 in the morning. We should not talk demographics here, we should racking the shit out of it. It's even better during daylight hours in the sense you can score a 1/3 pound Angus burger with a cherry ICEE.

Not to be nitpicky here, but Van, are you implying that Cerritos is a ghetto/slum? It's no Beverly Hills, but then again, most places aren't.

I don't like Wal-Mart at ALL. Given the choice, I will ALWAYS pick Target instead. (I love Target!) But when visiting my parents, if that sort of store is needed, Wal-Mart is the only nearby choice. For some reason, their store isn't nearly as irritating as the Wal-Marts near here. Normal people shop there. No one tries to run over my feet with their carts there. People tend to even be normally dressed (shocker, I know).

No, I'm giving an example of what I'd said earlier: If a town has a 'nicer part of town' that's not where the Walmart will be located. I just picked Cerritos out of thin air. It could've been any of dozens of other places which aren't as nice as Beverly Hills.

Cerritos is fine, but it's not Beverly Hills, or Newport Beach.

The point was to compare Beverly Hills and San Francisco - the 'nice' parts of a town, or of a given locale - with other, not-as-nice locales.

It was totally random. I could've picked anywhere. I was merely making the comparison to Beverly Hills.

Substitute City Of Industry or Duarte if you'd prefer.

While I don't shop at Wal-Fart, I wouldn't think it would be any loss for them to remove the self-checkout lanes. Crap, people at the grocery store have enough trouble figuring out how to use the credit/debit terminal or remembering their pins. I can't imagine how long those self-checkout lines would be backed up with those tard customers being too dumb to work the machines.

The most annoying thing about Walmart?

Women who bring their bratty, snot-nosed kids along and let them run around grabbing anything and everything they can get their grubby little paws on... completely oblivious to the loaded shopping cart that I'm driving getting ready to run them over if they don't get the fuck out the way.

I'd pay good money to see WW flip out and take his loaded up cart on a 'seek & destroy unattended, snot-nosed kids at Walmart' mission.

Just to spice things up, maybe have him do it in Lawrence, Kansas, where they're sure to have at least twenty seven Walmarts. Maybe let him bring along a boom box, cranking out some vengeance-minded country music, with some Tony Stewart logos on the side of the cart.
