Tyson Gay ran the third fastest time in history and was blown off the track by Bolt. Dude is unreal.

In other news, some Korean dude beat Tiger Woods to win the PGA championship.

I'm sure 'tart is thrilled, but would it be too much to expect that a guy playing a PGA tour event would at least have a basic grasp of english?

seem to remember the old, grumbly, honkeys on this board moaning about Bolt getting unfair attention when that pot-smoking, swimming type won some medals.

where are they now, anyway?

A few weeks ago I'm pulling into this Quik Trip and I see this scraggly meth head running out the door with two 30 packs of Bud and a 12'er of Corona. He threw them in the window of the back seat of this piece of shit beater and literally dove thru the front passenger door window while his partner in crime, the getaway driver, damn near hit my ride while he was floorboarding it out of there.

I had pulled in just to this cars left, and the fuck was backing out to the right and swinging it hard. Dumbfuck, try backing into the spot next time for an easier escape.

So after I get my coffee in the store, I ask the clerk behind the counter if she had seen the guy making off with the brews. Um, nope... what'd he take?

Or maybe too much to ask for some redneck dude from Missouri to be capable of typing the PGA Champions name?

Some Korean dude ...

Y.E. Yang

Do you, Neck Wagon, speak a 2nd language?
If so, what is it?

And if so so ... would you like to conduct an interview in that language?

Or would you rather articulate your thoughts through a translator?

Bumpkins don't play golf in Korea.
No doubt Y.E. Yang comes from a "privileged" background and no doubt he is educated.
That education included English.

If you spoke to him, and did so a little bit more slowly than normal, he would understand 80% of what you say.

But being able to confidently conduct an interview is a different story.

When Yao Ming first came to America he didn't want to speak English in interviews, despite people knowing that he "knew" English.

Think Wagon.

Apparently, 'tart, you have never spoken to mizzuneck before. There are things mizzuneck could do to be more understandable. Slowing down is not among them. If mizzuneck slowed down his speak, he'd be talking backwards.

Back on topic...

Bolt is simply an human freak or doping. I haven't seen a guy like that appear to be pulling away at 60m since Carl Lewis. Unbelieveable. Gay goes 9.71 and is embarrassed by a guy who just a few weeks ago hurt his foot in a car accident.

Imagine what Bolt does in Beijing had he run through the finish?? In Berlin he's been off of his training regimen, yet runs through and dips below 9.60. Amazing!

Don't believe doping does a damn bit of good in a completely anaerobic event as the 100. Might possibly help in the 200, but, I doubt it would do much their either.

Doping helps in in ridiculous endurance events such as the tdf.

Then how do you account for all the sprinters getting banned for doping?

Just a few, not to mention Marion Jones. And don't tell me these guys were only doing it for the 200...

I can't account for it. Therefore, I just might not know what the fukk I am talking about. Apparently the doping thing does help them with anaerobic stuff.

Learn something everyday, even hanging around a dump like this place.

I am pretty much to the point now where I wanna just say go ahead freaks, shoot them 'roids, dope, whatever the fukk. Just know that you might blow a valve as a result.

Maybe we can just have them do whatever the fukk they want, but require them to post what they're on. It would just be like another stat on the back of a baseball card.

I think you're mixing terms. Doping generally refers to a practice known as "blood doping." This is done by extracting blood from an athlete that is stored. The blood is re-introduced into the athlete's body later in the season when a peak performance is desired. Doing this adds to the the number of red blood cells, which carry oxygen (and thus improving their anaerobic performance).

Yes, Golf Wagon, the Zippers were bouncin' off the walls today, thanks to Mr. Yang coming out of the Tiger's Den ... dragging the Tiger by the tail.

Some Americans will watch the Olympics and cheer against the U.S. of A. ... just for the sake of entertainment value.

Not so with the Kimchi chompers.

They're very nationalistic.

World Cup Soccer in 2006 was an experience.
Games were telecast live ... in the middle of the night.
But the whole fuggen country was dialed in.
3:07 a.m. ... a EXPLOSION of cheers out my apartment window.

That's a little premature....he hasn't been convicted of anything yet.

It's not that they just pump extra blood into them, the blood they remove is processed in some sort of way that raises the percentage of red cells. This artificially boosted red cell count does allow it to carry more oxygen which improves aerobic performance, not anaerobic, which, by definition does not rely on oxygen to take place.

I learned about blood doping quite a while back, and I don't remember any type of additional enhancement of the blood taking place. But as I said that was a while ago, and advances since then could have changed this.

"Blood doping" helps out when competition are held at high altitudes where oxygen levels are low. I think that some endurance event athletes used it in Mexico City Olympics in 1968. Since then a hormone was used to create more hemoglobin in the body, but all these methods are risky and not many really use them.
