If Rev Wright is dictating who you vote for, you are a fucking moron. Period. Full stop.

Its implied by the fact that only land owners were meant to be eligible to vote, ensuring that the dumshit masses didn't get a say.

Strictly speaking, we could elect Michael Jackson and Charles Manson President and Vice President. That doesn't make it a good fucking idea.

You said you weren't an elitist, just better than others, so why the sea change?

And why is land ownership no longer a realistic criteria? Because you don't own any land would be my guess.

No matter that, a lately self appointed elitist of your stature has no use for voters. Who needs 'em, when we've got JayPunk around to tell us what's up?

You are kidding, right? If you took ballots away from the fucktards, the Democrats would lose every race. What voter is ACORN targeting? And for whom are they doing it?

I think we need only one serious ballot reform measure. You should have to register your thumb print in order to vote, and you should have to provide your thumb print on your ballot when you cast your vote. We have very sophisticated imaging systems these days. You don't even need ink. Wouldn't take 1 minute. And it would cut the horseshit and corruption out of the balloting.

Of course we'd still have to listen to fucktard commercials 24/7.

That would be unfair. Many voters that can't speak English don't know the translation for thumb. And the color of ink needs to be sorted out - black would be racist. And the alcohol wipes for cleaning thumbs would harm the environment.

Sincerely,

Pelosi, Reid & Co....

Considering that we've had eight years of Dubya, the dumbest president in U.S. history, there obviously are no such requirements.

And considering that Nutsy McCain is 110 years old, prone to skin cancer, and an outburst or two away from stroking out, I'd say the choice of Vice President is very important. You might be fine with Caribou Barbie at the helm, but the rest of us are just a TAD bit concerned.

Aren't you from the South? I don't know if you've ever been to a Southern Baptist service (I've only been to a wedding), but Rev. Wright's views represent those of a majority of black preachers around the country. I've been to one service, therefore it must be true :D. Seriously, rule #1 of speaking before a crowd is "know your audience". He's saying what his congregation wants to hear.

Now personally that doesn't excuse some of his comments, though many were taken out of context (God damn America, for instance), but I'm torn between the ghetto axiom of "you are who you roll with" towards Obama and the fact that most ministers/preachers/priests have more extreme views towards everything than their average congregation attendee.

Personally, I was torn between voting for McCain and Obama until I saw what a sellout McCain had become and who he chose as a running mate. Sorry, but with a guy that old, the veep choice comes into play bigtime. Obama chose a guy, who while he annoyingly speaks in the third person way too often, is highly experienced and if anything is more than qualified for the job, and McCain chose a piece of eye candy with incredibly extremist views, who if she were to become prez, would likely replace 2-3 Supreme Court Justices. The court needs balance to maintain its purpose in the checks and balances role in our government and frankly Palin's potential choices of justices scare the fuck out of me.

It wasn't too long ago that blacks couldn't eat lunch at the counter, sit in the front of the bus, or go to a decent university unless accompanied by members of the National Guard. If there's a bit of a delay in "getting over" the shitty hand they were dealt, I don't blame them.

I'm more worried about shit like this, which is par for the course in Republican Land:
OCTOBER 7--Days after federal officials agreed to an $85 billion bailout of American International Group, the insurance firm spent more than $440,000 for a corporate retreat at a swanky California resort. An invoice from the week-long getaway, a copy of which you'll find below, was obtained by the congressional panel that has been holding hearings this week about Wall Street collapses and executive excess. The late-September AIG gathering at the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach cost $443,343, according to the invoice. The six-figure sum covered hotel rooms, banquets, golf fees, and spa services at the resort south of Los Angeles. However, company funds apparently were not spent on exploding cakes or urinating ice statues.

Checks and balances ....

Obama wins he has a mandate for the most part. Both houses.

McCain wins - unlikely - and dies - probably unlikely - Palin will have to get her appointees through both houses. She won't.

Listen... I understand you just got let out of prison and are just getting reajusted to freddom. But living on the "DOwn Low" on the streets give you not right to segregate prison dick, from street salami. Now would you please look at the voting records of the 1964 Civil Rights Act before you make yourself look like an idiot.

Totals are in "Yea-Nay" format:
By party
The original House version:[9]

Democratic Party: 152-96 (61%-39%)
Republican Party: 138-34 (80%-20%)
The Senate version:[9]

Democratic Party: 46-21 (69%-31%)
Republican Party: 27-6 (82%-18%)
The Senate version, voted on by the House:[9]

Democratic Party: 153-91 (63%-37%)
Republican Party: 136-35 (80%-20%)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act_of_1964

Do you see the difference? And don't give me bullshtit about these being southern democraps! because the last time I checked, Al Gore sr. and Sen. KKK Byrd NEVER! lef the party!

and I Quote
Most Democrats from the Southern states opposed the bill, including Senators Albert Gore Sr. (D-TN), J. William Fulbright (D-AR), and Robert Byrd (D-WV).
So much for your ideaology.
