Why not?
I dunno, maybe he could. Though I'm not sure how one could suck as bad as Kyle Boller, David Carr, and Trent Dilfer. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe somehow, some way, Aaron Rodgers will suck even more. Probably not though since Tedford's other guys took sucking to a level no one ever thought a quarterback could achieve.

Yeah, I was going to comment on that but it's like, why? Just to flummox mtool?

Oh hell, why not.
The smooth travels for Aaron Rodgers came to an end on Saturday night, completing nine of 16 passes for 58 yards and sacked four times by San Francisco in a devastating 34-6 loss, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. San Francisco’s complex defense, which regularly shifts from a 3-4 front to a 4-3 front in an attempt to create indecision in blocking assignments, got the upper hand on Rodgers. According to offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, Rodgers audibled out of a number of running plays. Often he found nothing downfield. His hesitation made him look like a backup quarterback who hadn’t played in a long time and often he read the pass rush incorrectly, thinking he had time to pump and reload when he didn’t.
mtool points out how the 9ers are SB bound in 3..2..1...

Aaron Rodgers update....

Against Denver in Denver.

18/22 193 yards 2 TD and 0 INT's.

A-Rod's money... and making the Green Bay brass look brilliant.

My thoughts are that with the consistency he’s shown this preseason, Rodgers will turn a 13-win team into an 8-win team.

Besides, they were playing Denver. Not the best game to gauge how he'll do against actual NFL competition.

It would be so sweet to have a perfect Cal weekend.

Washington State, Marshawn's TD run and Buffalo's domination of Seattle, DeSean's 203 all-purpose yards and Aaron Rodgers.

Next week: DeSean on Monday Night Football vs. Dallas.

45 minutes away from Aaron Rodgers first start in a real NFL game.

Against a team that has been said to be one of the best in the NFC.

Look for A-Rod to step it up once again... in the LIMELIGHT!

It's just how he rolls...

Decent start for Rodgers...helluva grab by Jennings on that deep ball. He also was Johnny-on-the-spot with that fumble recovery.

On the other side, A.D. is looking very good. Jackson needs to stay the hell out of his way.

Aaron Rodgers first half stats are 12/16 139 yds 1 TD 0 int.

Against a very good D that added one of the best defensive players in the league (and sack artist) Jared Allen.

He's just getting warmed up.

Look for the Vikes to come out strong in the second half.

Blackmon gets a huge TD return when it appeared the Vikings were about to take control of the game.

The Packers O line has single handily killed the Packers with 9 penalties for 80 yards....which included a 75 yard TD strike by Aaron Rodgers that was called back.

Good game.

As much as I hate to do it ... and this fucking kills me ... rack m2.

Btw, I will seriously pay anyone on this board $10,000 if they will kill Tony Kornholer. Jaws is great, but this fucking asshat is just killing the game.

God, make it stop.

I'll give Rodgers his credit, but honestly, it'll take a disaster of epic proportions on his part not to succeed with this offensive unit he's got.

Nice game for Rodgers...I won't dispute it. Efficiency and minimal mistakes is really all any team could ask for out of an inexperienced starter and the Packers got that from him tonight. I give a tip of the cap to the new QB in GB.

Next week, my biggest fear is seeing Ryan Grant run for 200 yards on the Lions...but that would help my fantasy team though. The Lions couldn't get any pressure on Ryan yesterday...Rodgers will light up my shitty kitties. Congrats on the 2-0 start...

It's not the same offensive unit as last year... they're starting 2 rookie offensive linemen and it showed.

12 penalties for 118 yards by the offensive line.

The Packers also don't have the easiest schedule in the NFL like they had last year.

81.8% comp. percentage... is the 2nd highest in NFL history for a QB in his first game.... this with all the pressure he has on him replacing "the hillbilly".

18/22 178 yds 2 TD 0 int. With a 3rd TD on a 75 yard TD pass called back because of an offensive lineman being 5 yards down field .

It's hard to get much better than that... and it was just his first NFL start.

Is there anyone left that thinks Alex Smith should have been taken first in the NFL draft over Aaron Rodgers ?

Couldn't have asked for a better game out of him. Rack #12 for a 1-0 start over a tough divisional opponent.

Penalties can be fixed by coaching. It was the first game. They're still a talented group, and add to that Rodgers has got a solid running game and solid receiving core. Like I said, he'll have to self destruct not to succeed in Green Bay.

Last night was certainly encouraging, but God forbid that Rodgers gets hurt. And what the fuck was McCarthy thinking at the end of the first half? 3rd down at the 10-yard line, 20 seconds on the clock, and he doesn’t take a shot at the end zone? He runs the clock down to 3 seconds to try a field goal, which is blocked. Absolutely atrocious piece of coaching.

i don't think alex smith thinks so anymore.
What else would you expect from the 49ers? Gotta suck to be a Niner fan. Unless you bail on them and start bandwagonning anhother franchise halfway across the country, of course.

Nice beatdown, BTW. The Vikes should go about 3-13 this year with that level of suckitude against a mediocre Packer team.

I keep getting accused of using that, I thought I'd try it out.

Last season was last season. This year they're 9-7 at best.
