This thread is in the LTS "USS Liberty" category.

Both Chappaquiddick and the USS Liberty are OUTRAGES...we get it already.

By the way, the Chappaquiddick Incident took place on 7/19/69. I'm not sure how you got the date wrong, seeing as this is one of the few things you post about...

Not to mention that he posted it on July 21st.

Saddam Hussein becomes Vice Chairman of the Revolutionary Council in Iraq after a coup d'état on July 17th 1968. There was probably an after party with guns being shot into the air and stuff. We could discuss that.

He got really excited about the first lunar landing, which occurred on July 20th, 1969 (I believe).

I think Wolfie meant to post about that, got confused, and then posted about Chappaquiddick instead in a default mode.

I guess right now he's fact-checking.

Might take awhile, Hannity's phones are probably busy...

OK--maybe "Wiki" has it wrong-- at least I actually got some of you to think.

On July 18, 1969, Ted Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick, a small island adjoining Martha's Vineyard and connected to it via a ferry. The party was a reunion for a group of six women, known as the "boiler-room girls",[1] who had served in his brother Robert's 1968 presidential campaign. Also present were Joseph Gargan (Ted Kennedy's cousin), Paul Markham (a school friend of Gargan's who would become United States Attorney for Massachusetts under the patronage of the Kennedys)[2], Charles Tretter (an attorney), and John Crimmins (Ted Kennedy's part-time driver). Kennedy was also competing in the Edgartown Yacht Club Regatta, a sailing competition which was taking place over several days.[1]
