British Open predictions

Post by Goober McTuber »

Word is that they didn’t get their normal portion of rain at Carnoustie earlier in the year, so the rough is not grown up as much as it normally is. They’ve gotten more than normal rain amounts recently, which have softened the greens. This all points to a three-peat for Tigger.

I predict the winner will be Carnoustie....

This course is very easy and the winner should win by a few strokes.

Perhaps the wind’s not blowing today. 55 golfers at par or better right now.

I was watching on Yahoo video earlier and conditions looked ripe for scoring. Just a slight breeze and the course looks downright lush in comparison to your average Open venue.

looking at the live feed from http://www.pgatour.com/

the sedate weather coupled with the relatively soft greens makes it much easier for them to score....the thing my bud told me is that almost every hole on the course is an opportunity to post a HUGE number...he said you have to be pretty precise not only in distance and direction but trajectory as well.....

my hope is that the weather takes a turn for the worse.....

Sergio posted a 65. One bogey, 7 birdies.

Even if the wind kicks up, it sounds like the rough is not quite so punitive this year.

3 stroke Lead....over Stricker.....

ya'know that Stricker is going to be in the 70's for his score on Sunday....

(that's what happens after a flawless 64.)

we'll see what happens with the -3 Group?

can't wait for Monday Prognostications!

Eld$#&* will put up a SCORE of 6_.....that means that we'll miss most of the GOLF Coverage.

Who will it be?

DiMarco, Els, KJ.....who comes OUT of the Pack?

(DiMarco---->see Stricker^^^)

Sergio might WIN?

poor fucking Sergio. i was pulling for Paddy, but Serge gets a piece of the hole on missed putts on 4 of the last 5 holes.

that's got to hurt.

he looked like he'd rather eat human flesh than be at the longwinded award presentation.

Dude needs to take a page from Faldo and get something half the size of his hagfish that's latched onto him.

Anyone see that thing lumbering onto the green afterward? I could feel the sizemic tremors clear across the pond.
Looks to me like Paddy's wife is expecting another member of the Rat Family. Take a look at these pictures.
