NFL Combines...

Post by 420 »

Today... it's the QB's, RB's, and WR's.

Meachem runs a 4.36 40.

This should be a great day for the draft freaks.

Calvin Johnson runs a 4.35 40.

The leaks from Arizona, where Johnson trained, was that he was blowing away the scouts, and would run in the mid-low 4.30's. If Johnson's time becomes official at 4.35, he could be the first player selected in the draft.

Think of the measurables: 6'4", 239, a 4.35, and a vertical over 40 inches. This is the holy grail of athletes.

Bowe runs a 4.51 40.

Not a chance.

If Al is stupid enough to take a WR (which is not as big a need as many other positions on our team), he will trade down a few spots to do so.

I completely agree.

Bowe runs a 4.51 40.
I'll call a 4.48

Dude is deceptively quick.

Yeah, that game was hard to watch at the end. The Warriors owned the game for 3 and a half quarters, then ????

The finally score looked worse than the game actually was.

We just need Baron back on the floor, yet Monta is doing well, for a 20 year old.

Neck and neck... Clip's and Warriors.

Damn, girlfriend wants me to get ready now, so she can see one of the Acadamy Award movies before they come on tonight.

Well, I got some football in today.

Here are the official combine numbers... Sunday

http://www.nfl.com/combine/story/10021441

Here's a fun little stat... 40- Yard Dash at combine

AD was suppose to be one of the 2 or 3 fastest players coming out in the draft... his only strength over Marshawn.

Hmmmmmmm...

Marshawn's 40-time is 4.46

Adrian's 40-time is 4.40

Now lets look at the 2 backs where it counts the most... on the field.

2004... Marshawn played behind the leading rusher in college football. Yet, he still averaged close to 9.0 a carry for 628 yards.

Now we'll go head to head... with both players as starters.

2005... Marshawn had 1246 yards and averaged 6.4 yards a carry.

2005... Adrian had 1108 yards and averaged 5.0 yards a carry.

2006... Marshawn had 1245 yards and averaged 6.1 yards a carry.

2006... Adrian had 935 yards and averaged 5.6 yards a carry.

*Remember*

Marshawn played with 2 and 3 star lineman in the PAC 10...

AD played with 4 and 5 star lineman who were the best in the country!

If you're the GM... who would you take???

The guy that can run, block and catch... and "play" on basically two sprained ankles all year.(Lynch)

Or a guy that can run... can't block, and can't catch??? Oh yeah, and snaps like a pretzel when he falls down.(Peterson)

Okie... do they teach you that fancy thing called "math" out in dem der midwest???

The only numbers that matter are "yards per carry" and Marshawn Lynch owns AD when it comes to that!!!
Believe the Heupel wrote: Yeah, that's right-you didn't even get your OWN boy's rushing total right.
Now the Okie is getting so god damn flustered... he's starting to flat out lie!!!

Link please!

Believe the Heupel wrote:At Oregon (for comparison, you know) Peterson had 211 yards.

Lynch had 50. At home.

211>50. Just so you know.

Psssst!!!!!!!!!!!! While you guys lost to Oregon!!!

Cal was kicking Oregon's ass!!!!!!!!! So bad, that they pulled Marshawn after 1 and a half quarters.

Guess what our 2nd string guy (Justin Forrsett) did in just over 2 quarters against Oregon... try 170 yards rushing and Oregon knew we were going to run the ball with that big lead. Nice comparison... (KYOA) much. Bwhahahahaha!
Believe the Heupel wrote:4.40 is faster than 4.46. Just so you know. Especially after you ran your mouth about how Lynch was faster than Peterson yesterday.
Funny how you left out the other 3 speed tests that matter most... Shuttle 20, Shuttle 60, and the 3 Cone. You know, the tests that see if you have any moves and can do them at high speed!

I wonder why? Hmmmmm.... I'll tell you why!

He didn't even show up on the charts!!! Bwhahahahahaha!!!

Marshawn of course, placed in the top of 2 of the 3 speed tests.

Believe the Heupel wrote:Total career yards:

Peterson 4045
Lynch 3230

This "math" thing is really tough for you "Okie's" isn't it???

Ok, lets see if you can follow this... "yards per carry" is the only thing that matters!

But, since you keep bringing up who rushed for more yards...

2005... ding ding ding... Marshawn Lynch is the winner!

2006... ding ding ding... Marshawn Lynch is the winner once again!!!

Pssst! AD started for 3 years... Marshawn only started for 2 years.

Game set and match... Marshawn Lynch.

How do you know that .... ?

Lynch has a lower center of gravity, is more elusive, seems to have better feet, and is much more proven as a receiver out of the backfield.

Looks to be the sort of player that could have a longer career than the more upright guy, who is a bigger target, takes a lot of bangs, and already has a history of injury.

Personally I like Lynch over Peterson as a prospect.

Would you like to respond to a post or quote in this forum???

It wasn't a typo, idiot. If anything, it was an omission.

It would be easier to try to debate something if 1) you were correct and 2) you didn't try to back peddle when you are proved to be wrong.

That's right, they teach those lessons in the second year of college. You know, way past the point where you could actually hack it.

You're really not this fucking stupid, are you? So you would call not typing one word, two letters, a typo and not an omission?

You really should take some online English classes. They're more your speed and you could cheat, which would be right up your alley. And it would fix some of these problems. Either that, or pick up a copy of "Elements of Style".

That won't help with you being an idiot, but it's a start.

The Combines: Day 5... LB's and DL's

http://www.nfl.com/combine/story/10023350

"The Bishop" blows away the scouts with his strength.

DBish benched 225 lbs. 33X, it was more X's than all the Lbers and ALL of the DLmen except 2 players. One DL had 34x and another had 42x.

Desmond Bishop had as many bench reps as Adam Carriker and Alan Branch, 33!

Twice as many as Quentin Moses (17) and Jarvis Moss (16)

Unreal!

Rack that! Their football career is what matters- not how fast they can run in shorts and a tshirt.. or how many times they can push 225 lbs with bad form. All the combine does is produce guys like this:

Bishop isn't a D-Lineman, he's a Linebacker you mental midget!

Oh yeah, he's a 1st team All-PAC 10 player.

Stick to checking out 14-17 year old kids, and what school they may want to go to.

Hey Douchebag, where did I ever say that Bishop was a defensive lineman? Go ahead and point out the post where I said he played defensive line.

Again, for the uneducated, the defensive lineman who did the most reps last year went undrafted.

And again, what is your fucking point?

I guess you really are that stupid.

So who brought DL into this discussion?

Critical Thought was a 200 level course, so I know you didn't sniff that in your 15 minutes on a college campus. If you could have hacked it, you might have been able to figure out why I posted the DL info from last year. Like your professor said to you long ago, this isn't for everyone. F.

NFL isn't a word. Again, "Elements of Style". Neither is "Pssst". And I don't think the other first words of your sentences are the subject matter unless you want to go on about "The" or "Today".

And I was posting that the top bench at last years NFL (again, not a word) combine wasn't even drafted.
