Damn, I almost pulled the trigger....

Post by The Seer »

So for exercise I walk over to this auto-fair they have every weekend....just to peruse the for sale by owner vehicles...

A month ago I spotted a '73 lime green Cuda 340....had some wear and tear and he wanted 17,000.

Today, I spotted a 1986 Vette with reportedly 57K miles on it and very clean for 8,000.00...

If I had a place to park it....I'd own it... :(

I thought today was New Year's Eve, not St. Patrick's Day. Someone needs to update Cood's calendar.

Around here, thats a little fucking steep.

I've seen a few '73 MC's (Mint Condition's) go for around 16,500. Thats not a rare car by any stretch, but people who dont know thier shit tend to get caught up in that namesake. And the 340 engine stock is a pussy compared to its musclecar counterparts. Bodystyle of that car is cool as fuck, though.

Now Tell me you just let a '71 440 sixpack/426 Cuda slip through your grasp for that price and i'd personally fly to your locale and slap you in the mouth, as one of those recently became the first million dollar musclecar ever sold.

Seems a little high for a buttrock 80's special. That '73 looks better by default, and would be a bad motherucker with a nice engineswap.

EDIT: Look something like this, Seer?

Fukk, that bodystyle is sick as hell.

The background sure looks like those pics were taken in Abeline, TX. I'll bet Marv Albert would look good in a lime green teddy in that roach.

The Cuda 70-73 bodystyle with the 426 Hemi was one of the fastest cars to come off an assembly line....If I let one of those get by W/O jumping on it, I'd pay you to kick my ass....

The 426 Hemi was only offered through 71. All of the post-71 Mopars were pretty severely emissions-choked. If you're serious about the performance of a collectable, 70 and prior is a better way to go...and prices generally reflect that.

Looks like we need a musclecar forum.

Of course, we always have this one...
