My heart says Oklahoma by three;. I won't admit what my mind tells me though.
Burgers and ribs are on the grill, Jubalaya is on in the kitchen and the faithful are already begginging to appear. I'll probably be bloughted and drunk long before tip off. :D

I just seem to forget about this forum and whatsuch.
I see visions of Gibson hitting three after three...Buckman, Tucker and Aldrige clogging the lane and gathering every rebound available, and I see a Longhorn victory of atleast 15 points.
I also see a nice flank steak marinating ready to be sliced, grilled and surrounded by a tortilla/cheese. A few Modelos and a bowl of queso dip and my stomach will be golden after the Hook 'Em yawner.
Cheers.

Horns by 15. Sooners have next-to-no perimeter game. Horns can probably play a box along the free throw lane and keep the Sooners to 40 pts.

No way am I saying OU is going to win, but I think they can, only because it is a home game.Bizzarofelice wrote:Horns by 15. Sooners have next-to-no perimeter game. Horns can probably play a box along the free throw lane and keep the Sooners to 40 pts.
The outside shooting for Oklahoma has improved over the past few games since they lost to Missouri, by no means is it great though.
I can see OU losing by 10 but not more than 15, Tejas ain't that good and OU ain't that bad.

Our perimeter game looked great Wednsday night, granted it was against Baylor, but I haven't seen us shoot the three like that since Hollis and Quanas were in the back court.OUMO wrote:No way am I saying OU is going to win, but I think they can, only because it is a home game.Bizzarofelice wrote:Horns by 15. I think we can win tonight. I mean hey if Mizzou can win a couple conference games and Kstate can beat Kansas, I don't see why we can't beat texass; obviously anything can happen.

Nice win, Sooners.
Don't get too excited about it, though. Much like Mizzou's win over Kansas, they just played over their heads in a heated rivalry game at home.
A letdown is sure to follow.
Oh, and this is just great. We get Texas next.

I hate sigs. But I lost a stupid fucking bet because a KC Paul lookalike and his sorry ass team were inferior to the greatness that is the Pittsburg Steelers.

Nice game at Nebraska today by the way.
Says the fan of a team who also lost to Nebraska
MU fan knows their team is shit, we've been mentioning it since last year, reality is that OU is nothing more than a average team, and that is stretching it.

Choad. ;)
Bace, while this could be just a rivalry-type thing, this could also be the springboard that propels OU into salvaging a disappointing season to date.
Four in a row and looking pretty dece. We'll see what happens vs. KU in a couple games. KU is looking a LOT better of late.
I just don't care to put things as eloquently most times, er like all of the time.
If there is a good Texas fan Prime is it.

No argument here.OUMO wrote:That being said, I am pretty sure OU kicks Mizzou's ass if we play again.
Did you watch Kansas handle Iowa State today at Hilton? Lot's and lot's of scary young talent on that team. This Mizzou fan is afraid of the next 2 to 3 years. Very afraid.Kansas is not anywhere close to good as Texas is so your point is moot.
You lost to Mizzou at home. What did you expect?I could do without your backhanded compliment.
What? Did somebody who also lost to Nebraska just say something?Nice game at Nebraska today by the way.

Your were right on with your smack, I just kind of miss the old days when things were vile.
With the exception of one bitch, there is not anyone in this basketball community that won't sack up.

Anyone who is a Led Zep freak like myself can party like Dinsdales' sig line in my book.
Just an aside, Soonerfan. They showed some highlights of Wayman Tisdale during the game. That brought back some bad memories. That fucker caused me a lot of grief. If there's an all-time Big 8 team, he belongs on it.

Mitch Richmond? I don't have much problem with that. Dude carved out a pretty nice NBA career as well.
So what was the All time Big 8 team, then?
There had better be at least one Mizzou player on it, or I'm hanging up and not listening off the air.
Here's my first team.
G - John Sundvold
G - Anthony Peeler
F - Ricky Frasier
F - Derrick Chievous
C - Steve Stipanovich
Oh, wait....those are ALL Mizzou players.
Other Honorable mentions:
Rolando Blackman
Danny Manning
Stacy Augmon
Brian "Big Country" Reeves
That guy from CU who's name escapes me right now. Help!
Jeff Hornancek
That other guy from ISU whose name also escapes me right now.
Feel free to add/amend the list.

These are just players prior to the Big 12. I don't know if you exclude players when it was the Big 7, Big 6, or MVC but I didn't.War Wagon wrote:Feel free to add/amend the list.
Wilt Chamberlain (Kansas) I would think they didn't include the Big 7 because he wasn't named the best of all time.
Wayman Tisdale (Oklahoma)
Mookie Blaylock (Oklahoma)
Danny Manning (Kansas)
Willie Murrell (Kansas State) probably before anyone in this discussions time
Dave Sieger (Oklahoma)
B.H. Born (Kansas)
Alvan Adams (Oklahoma)
I'm sure there could be many others but these are the ones I thought of off the top of my mind.

I don't believe Fizer ever played in the Big 8.
Sunvold would have been scary with the 3 point line.
some others in the Hon. Mention range:
Ron Kellogg (KU)
Dave Hoppen (NU)
Calvin Thompson (KU)
Doug Smith (MU)
Darnell Valentine (KU)
Darryl "Choo" Kennedy (OU)
Leroy Combs (OSU)
Jeff Grayer (ISU) (25 ppg as a senior, 20+ppg 3 years in a row)**
Stacey King (OU)
Jo Jo WHite (KU)
Donnie Boyce (CU)
**might make the team, IMO
