My fucking Lions are in mid-season form.

O-line-pathetic
D-line-pathetic
db's-pathetic
Kevin Jones-bright spot
offensive play calling-pathetic
defensive playcalling-pathetic
Joey Harrington-pathetic
Fag Garcia-pathetic
Jason Hansen-Bright spot
punt coverage-pathetic

I can only hope they were hiding their prowess behind the exhibition "vanilla" schemes they ran tonight.

Love the empty stands!!!!

Sad when Madden has to find a George "the Animal" Steele lookalike out there.

It was about what happened in your "teams" game...

Without the "title", and led into how bad the "Lions' are.

just sayin...

anyways, I agree, "the lions" suck.

This roster is too talented to put on a performance like that. There isn't a whole lot I can point to in the three games that show me that this team is ready to take the next step. This looks like the same team as last year. Conservative playcalling, poor tackling, making too many mental mistakes and they just don't show any heart. Harrington can work as hard as he wants and stay as positive as he is but this team just hasn't made any progress from the last few seasons. I don't care how meaningless the fourth game is but they better look at that as a redo for last night. They can't think that they can go into the regular season with the way they've played and think they can beat Green Bay or anyone else for that matter.

To be fair, the title of the thread could have applied to either Terry Fair's injury or the Lions' performance last night.

This roster is too talented to put on a performance like last night's?? Are you serious?

You sure you're not a Texas Longhorn fan desperately hanging onto his thirteen recruting national championships?

Where's the "talent?"

Shawn Rodgers
Kevin Jones
Roy Hall
Boss Bailey

That's about all the "talent" we have.

Conservative play calling was a known factor when Detroit hired Mooch. The poor tackling, poor routes, mental mistakes all are symptoms of a team with poor coaching and little talent.

You're right, though, nothing has changed from last year. Great thing that Millen's contract was extended five years...

Oh, lamest criticism so far...not throwing downfield enough...

Who's he?

BTW, you're leaving out the Lions only two-time Pro Bowler, Dre Bly...he's pretty good too.

Yea but just think, next year they can solidify that 4th receiving position in the first round. That should increase the completion percentage on those hail mary's they will be running regularly.

Oh and soon Harrington will be able to attend those Oregon vs. Cal games annually with Kyle Boller.

Who's gonna be the best receiver in the '06 draft? If they don't address the offensive and defensive lines in the draft, Millen needs his head examined. He even said it in a radio interview that the key to the Lions will not be Harrington, it will be the play of the lines. Harrington has actually been one of the few bright spots in the preseason...I've got very few complaints about him. Its the fact he gets no time to throw is what leads to a lot of the bad passes and checkdowns.
