Been a while since I watched any NBA. My best times were when the Syracuse Nats played.

On average, someone was scoring every 9 seconds.

Gonna be hard to meet the 4 pass minimum, coach

They must have lined up on each other's hoop & just thrown the ball back & forth between each other.

I've seen pretty much universal disgust over the NBA all-star game.
It was, imo, a completely embarrassing joke.

Chris Broussard said it looked looked like the last 5 minutes of a YMCA pick-up game.
You know, when it is all winding down.
Out of shape dudes have been running up-and-down the court for an hour-or-so, and now they are totally gassed.
Barely raising a hand for "defense," launching up ridiculous shots, and just without any fvcks left to give.

But these guys are in shape, are multi-millionaires, and are playing in the league's "showcase" event.
It was a debacle's debacle.

However, I have yet to hear any reasonable solution, other than... cancel it. No more all-star weekend.
I don't think the NBA will have that.
Too much money to be made.

So what can be done?

I have thought about it, and I see no solution.

The players simply do not give a sh!t.
No respect or regard for the all-star game, and no respect for the fans.
It means nothing to them.

That being so, I really don't know what you can do about it.

And btw, this bullsheet about players not wanting to risk injury is a laff.

You're in shape. Play a fvcking game, 'tards.

Yeah, I am old.
Old enough to remember when players busted ASS in all-star games. MLB, NFL, NBA.

The suggestion has been made to pay big money to all-star picks. I don’t see how that will make anyone play hard. And NBA fans would likely lose their shit if the already overpaid players get even more.

I suggest the league be disbanded and the players make their way in the real world. I wouldn’t miss it at all.

BTW, you aren’t old, pop.

Ignore it. Go do something constructive.

Did you also sit around and watch “Pro Bowl Weekend” or whatever they were calling it?

I watched all of the all-star games as a youth. Good stuff!
Haven't watched any of them for many years now.

I saw the score of the NBA All-Star game, so I watched some "highlights."
About two minutes worth.
Totally ridiculous stuff.
Embarrassing, and completely degrading to the fans.

Actually, the players are degrading themselves, but they are not sharp enough to realize that.
Or, they just really don't give the slightest sh!t if they are degrading themselves.
They are whores, and are only interested in -----> $$$.

I am looking at it from the commissioner's point of view here.
Just wondering if there is any way they could turn this around and make the game worthwhile again.

My son and grandson were there. Grandson’s flag football team participated in tournament. In a video, my grandson was entranced by the cheerleaders (females only). I don’t think he blinked for 30 minutes.

I’m old enough to remember when the College All-Stars played the NFL champions.

Getting rid of Adam Silver and LeTurd would be a start. There are no American values in the NBA; they push globalism and anti-American sentiment and victimhood. And those two are at the forefront of pushing all of that drivel. The fans who turned them off in 2020 when they were all bowing at the altar of Burn Loot Murder haven't come back and never will.
