Weekend Roll Call 1-21-23

Post by kcdave »

I believe this is the first time I have posted
anything w/ one of my fave singers .. Whitfield Crane
here at t1b. I like this much better than anything
Godsmack ever put out. Oh well, at least UKJ is
back together and on tour this summer.

Gym, honeydo's , a little grill biz, and
lots of NFL this weekend. Chilly weather has returned
to FOC and not much else to do right now. The most important
game to mwah.. is first. Chiefs fave'd by 8.5
If I was a betting man, I wouldn't touch that one.
Chiefs from what I have seen have been fairly horrible at
covering the spread this season. Although they did beat
the Jags by 10 a couple of months ago. BUT, I AM NOT
A BETTING MAN, and that is why I choose not to participate
in the contest here, YA FUCKING DICK HEAD. - for whoever
the DICK HEAD was that called me out.

Anywho, I am going w/ my team and here are my other
non-gambling picks ....

KC
Philly
Cincy
SF

I am really looking forward to the Cincy / Buff game, FOR THE
GAME ITSELF, but I may have to mute it. Nantz and Romo will
be in full verbal orgasm mode the entire game with their two
fave QB's dueling, sandwiched around stroking their cranks repeatedly
about Hamlin and that whole fiasco. I fully expect them to be sitting
there in the booth, ankle deep in their own jizz by the end of the
first quarter.

I had plans to stop by and grab some grub for todays game from
my fave little Mexican food joint .... but they are closed for the
week for a late xmas holiday. Looks like Popyeyes will be seeing
me as they have their ghost wings back for a limited time.

Meme of the week -

Happy Weekend, Y'all.

I thought about taking JAX +8.5 in our super exciting point spread game here at T1B, but I did not pull that trigger.

I liked a couple of other games more.

Enjoy your day, dave!

IN. Another lazy day ahead for this old fart. Zero interest in the NFL, middling attention to NCAA hoops these days. Go Orange.
Enjoy.

Our daughter turned 33 this week and we took her out to one of her favorite restaurants for omakase. I had never done omakase before, and this place got a Michelin star the past two years. A little pricey but the food was amazing. Every course like a delicious work of art. Maybe I’ll post some pics later.

I've been looking at the many different accessories that are available and wonder which ones do you have or want. The Arteflame? Rotisserie? Vortex? Slow 'N Sear?

Rotisserie for sure. You will never make a better bird or roast than you will with a roti. You will need to learn how to truss, but that's not exactly rocket science. They also have attachments for that attachment as well. Baskets for fish and veggies etc. I use it more than I do the grill, to be honest.

Agreed. I would highly recommend the Vortex and Slow n Sear also.
Both are well made, and excellent products.

NFLin’ it. Pretty slow around here this weekend. Listening to tunes and reading this morning.

Breaking out old LPs:
KGB
Spirit’s Tampa Jam-Spirit of ‘76
Trower’s BLT
Butts Band
Crack the Sky
Artful Dodger

As kc suggested, will undoubtedly have to mute the announcers during the Cincy-Buffalo game. They’ll be droning on for 3 hours about the Hamlin incident. We get it. The poor guy suffered a heart attack. Thank god he survived. It’s over now.

Why do you have to make everything about politics? Kcdouche is a fragile guy. He doesn’t take stress well. Real life makes him all queasy and sick. He just wants to have a nice thread about what all his “friends” are doing each weekend and you do this!?! Ruin his thread with your repetitious political rambling? You should be ashamed of yourself. You treat this like it’s a smackboard or something.
