Caitlyn Jenner Running for Governator

Post by Mikey »

Caitlyn Jenner officially announces challenge to Newsom in California recall

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5 ... california

This is a sick fucking joke.

OK I'm maybe one of the few that still thinks CA is a great place to live. But if Brucilla gets elected in the recall I might just consider leaving. What an embarrassment.

Newsome isn't perfect but most peoples' complaints have been about how he handled the pandemic, shutdowns, etc. Right now, California has the second lowest infection rate (only Hawaii is lower). Hopefully by November all but the craziest Republican assholes will have lost interest.

All politicians are embarrassing. I can think of a lot better reasons to leave CA than the person serving as governor. Just let me know, and I'll provide you with a list

Just not all cops.

The things I liked the most about SC (INPO) was no traffic, boiled peanuts (which I knew about and was looking fwd to) and deep fried ones which I had never had, BBQ (Babe’s was yum), weather was nice (feb-March), Run to the Sun (car show), Fort Moultrie, Shem creek, met some cool people (some were even from SC :) ), Shit Ton of amusement park stuff in Myrtle Beach, Firecrackers were high on the kids list of favs, lots of nice lakes (ponds?) and little back country towns. Couldn’t live there but absolutely nice in small doses... in winter.

We live in a town of about 30k. They told us when we moved here that a traffic jam was having to wait behind more than three cars at a stoplight, and they were about right.

What qualifications does Jenner have to run for office? Anything other than name recognition?
Politics is a big popularity contest. Qualifications are secondary

Qualifications? Aren't those for the voters to decide? Did Obama have any qualifications? Did Trump? Does Biden?

True. And for many that was qualification enough.

This last election was an anti-Trump event, not so much a pro-Biden event.

Agree with both, and that is the problem with our President choices for awhile now. We don't have great candidates to support, instead we are voting against one of them.

Opt out.

Don't vote for either of the two trash choices your masters insist you must vote for.

No thanks.

I didn't vote for a president in either of the last two elections. Prior to that, I always voted. But as I get older, I find myself losing interest in having to make a choice between one POS and another. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. I don't know why our choices are so bad lately. Or maybe they've always been bad, and I'm just now noticing how bad they are. Forget the issues. They come and go. Just give me a good non-partisan man or woman who has intelligence, integrity, empathy, toughness, humility, and a dash of charisma, and I will vote again.
