There might be a few more bucks in it for them, but other than that, why would Texas leave a conference where they get a disproportionate % of the revenue for a real one that splits it evenly, where they would go 4-4 in conference play?

Completely agree. I can see Oklahoma doing it, but Texas surprised me.
