Nice photos and a pleasant break from the usual crap on this board-- but pretty desolate country you were in compared to where I hiked along the Appalachian Trail and Finger Lakes Trail years back.

...amazing pic's R-Jack. I've been up in the general area, but never Cherry Lake. Of course now I'd need something like this to get me any where close.

Yer old man looks about 12 years older than you punks.

I wasn't aware you dudes were messican.

Nice pics btw, other than being a bit overexposed mostly.

Wow R-Jack, that is some amazing looking territory. Were any of you packing heat during all that? I'd be scaird shitless out there without some serious firepower. Some critter might want my skinny ass for lunch :D

Not really.

The scenery is just that pretty there. Even an idiot like marty with a Polaroid camera could take great looking pictures in that area.

After living there it always amazed me how any doofus could win a photography award at a county fair by just standing on Sentinal Bridge & shooting Half Dome. It ain't that difficult, folks.

Round tripped Eagle Pass to Huckleberry, thru Crabtree on the way out and Spring Meadow on the way back way back when, and up and down Crabtree a few years back. Went with bivys, hiking sandals and fishing gear the second time, forgoing the tradition set up. Dropping 20 lbs from the setup made the second trip a lot 'funner.' Not for everyone I guess, but well worth a try for most.

At the risk of a ginormous homosmack pileon, I will say that were I of that inclination, I'd bang yer old man way before either of you ugly fukks.

Rack you fukkers for your trip. I'm planning on taking cockblock on his first overnighter backpacking trip soon. Too bad it won't be in a place as cool looking as that.

Awesome stuff R-Jack thanks for sharing the scene and the story.

I don't think I've seen one better, the only thing that could have made it better would have been some of Sam's girls - in the woods - wearing leaves (if anything). I'm sure you agree.
