Re: Predict how your conference's teams will do in the 1st round
I actually think the Big 12 will fare fairly well in the first round. They really got fairly good match-ups in my opinion. Oklahoma (W) Obviously they shouldn't have many problems with Morgan State. Kansas (W) I think Kansas will be OK in this spot in spite of the fact many "experts" think...

Re: VA Tech just played the worst 30 seconds of basketball
It seemed Va Tech was more interested in running clock the last few minutes of the game than trying to actually run an offense and score. Usually a recipe for defeat!

Re: Conference tourney discussion
Fortunately I haven't listened to any talk radio. Going into the season it seemed obvious that KU would play a few games really good and then inexplicably play some really bad ones.....the hallmarks of young teams. By and large Kansas had a very successful season that exceeded the predictions/hopes ...

I'm with you on this one......I'm no fan at all of the "new mohawk look."
Of course, I'm fast becoming a crusty old man so it's not surprising I wouldn't be down with something like this. :D

A&M will still be in the tourney. Just probably a 10 or 11 now. To be honest, I'm still pissed we blew it away, but the "glass half full" side of me is glad Carter can at least rest his ankle some before Thur/Fri when the tourney begins. We'll need him. By the way, did you watch the g...

Re: What up all
As for the rest of the Big 12 I think that Oklahoma is clearly the class of the league. Be that as it may, Kansas is the league champion and proved it on the court, Blake or no Blake. Heck of a coaching job by Self. I agree completely and I agree Kansas very much deserves their league title. The te...

Howdy everybody. I've been going a bit crazy in "real" life and damn near forgot about this place. Figured I better check in for the tourney though. It's been an interesting year, obviously I am very pleased with how my beloved Jayhawks fared this season. I don't hold out a lot of hope for...

Why wasn't Kendrick Perkins suspended?
Did he not step onto the court during an altercation? I thought the rule was black and white.........how come there was no suspension? Perkins clearly stepped onto the court towards the "discussion" between the Celts and Hawks on the court. Apparently the rule IS open to interpretation.

I have to say that as much as I despise Mizzou.....and to a lesser degree Kansas State. I would absolutely pull for either of them in a championship game with a team from another conference. Partly it's from a selfish perspective of the better the Big 12 is the better it is for Kansas.......but most...

'Bout time!! Wow.....just, wow. I've said for his whole career that I would want Chalmers to take a big shot if we needed one. The guy is a hell of a player and very, very clutch. I have no feeling for who I think will win this game tonight. I'm not at all surprised Kansas and Memphis are here. I believe they were/are the two best and most talented teams in college hoops this year. I also believe they will match up very well with each other. Memphis guards probably have a lit...

Mook, Is it possible that Matt Doherty is just a really horrible coach? If you screw up at a school like UNC you just flat out suck. Maybe Roy's somewhere in between a crappy coach and a Bob Knight. We can all agree he's at least a quality coach. I just have a hard time going beyond that. He's just...

It's not hard to do what Roy's done. It really isn't. Anyone could win with his players. I'm curious to know the last time Roy had a regular starter that wasn't a 4 or 5-star recruit? I bet it's been 10-12 years. He has 3 5-stars and 2 4-stars starting for him every year. It's pretty much impossibl...

Fun game to watch last night. Got a little nervous in the second half, but all is well that ends well. Memphis is going to be a hell of a game, these teams match-up well with each other. The 1986 team was exceptional and they lost in the Final Four to Duke. Louisville, who Kansas had already beaten twice that year won the title. Cry me a river. Mook, Had Kansas lost that game you'd consider it a tougher pill to swallow than the 1997 loss to Arizona? That's the best Kansas team i've ever seen. I'd say it's even better than this year's squad or the team that lost to Syracuse in the championship game. If I were a Jayhawk fan, I'd probably be...

Major props to all the Davidson fans who showed up, they outnumbered even the Wisconsin fans. I read that Davidson alumni bought Davidson students airfare, hotel, and tickets to the game. The biggest advantage Kansas has going for them vs. Curry is that they have three very solid defenders they can throw at him. Somebody fresh will always be matched up on Curry and that will help. Rush, Chalmers and Robinson will all take turns checking Curry...all are very, very good defenders. It w...

Good call on Xavier and Purdue, Adel........
