Re: Sampson rides again....

I have a real hard time accepting that when you have crap like Roy Williams committing multiple violations of a similar rule with no punishment I believe the Roy Williams gifts were to players who had graduated and completed their eligibility....considerably different than dealing with recruits.......

Re: Big Monday on ESPN

I don't think they are soft at all.....I think their defensive scheme puts them in some very bad positions. The super tight pressure 40 feet from the hoop inevitably leads to breakdowns when help has to come over.....I think that type of "d" is very good situationally I just think they ove...

Re: Big Monday on ESPN

First off the Big Monday thing is really starting to piss me off. The Big East games ALWAYS run late and if it weren't for possibly the worst officiating call of the decade in the G'Town/Nova game last night we would have missed a good portion of the first half of the UT/KU game. Every single week t...

Without looking into this at all......I would say that a 27-6 Houston team with three losses to Memphis would get in. I don't think they want to drop any more games however.

Just my two cents...

And, as for salary cap ramifications the Suns are trying to win right now, salary cap ramifications be damned Werd. Sin, Joe Johnson, James Jones, Sergio Rodriguez, et al I realize most of those penny-pinching moves were before Kerr, but the "screw the cap" attitude is brand new as of yes...

Re: Steve Kerr, Mike D'Antoni,

Never been that impressed by Diaw. Amare is one of the most overrated players in the NBA. He's probably the best open-court big in the league, and is near-worthless in every other aspect of the game... but he can improve in the low post. He can hone a lot of his skills. But his attitude is complete...

AND......I think we need to view this move for what it is. The Suns (read Steve Kerr) believes this move gives them a better chance to win a title this year. I think everyone knows this is a very high-risk move that has been pulled by PHX. Now Dins, I would think you of all people might actually sup...

With their young core group of Barbosa and... Barbosa, they should be just fine. I kind of figured Stoudemire would still qualify in the "young" category.......the guy is all of 25.... And although I think he needs to get tougher.......Diaw is a whopping 25 as well. A core young group of ...

Big 12 Thoughts

A few thoughts I've had while watching Big 12 games..... Texas: This team has one of the ugliest offenses I've ever seen. A typical 'Horn possession goes something like this; Augustin dribbles off 15-25 seconds of the shot clock, typically standing at the top of the key pounding a hole in the floor ...

I know this is for picks only.....but considering I also bet "real" money on Kentucky last night with the spread......well, let's just say that was a sickening gambling defeat!!! I got 8 points and all I need is a crooked shooting UK team to miss a three at the buzzer.....ugh.

Question about the Trojans

I've harped on USC a bit here lately and I'm going to just a bit further. What exactly did USC do this year to merit their inclusion into the top 3? Who were their "impressive" wins? As I go through their schedule I see exactly one game against a team that was truly a national power and th...

Steve, I partly agree with you, but if you look at it from the stand point of who behind them would beat them, it's not so screwed up. Losing to Stanford at home is inexcusable. USC eliminated themselves from championship talk as soon as the Stanford receiver caught the final pass in the corner of the endzone.
