I think it's a given that some Raider fans are stupid...but Raider fan in general is simply just scary. Years ago I went to a Monday night game in San Diego with Raiders visiting, and the old rule that Rome did for years of not looking "Raider Fan" directly in the eye was a good tip! I've ...

Wow, I've never heard that Genesis verse as an explanation of discord in families and the discipline of kids. I've usually heard it as a prophecy that the seed of a woman (Jesus) will hurt the serpent and finally kill his power, or at the very least go against the bloodlines that are usually along t...

Even sicker is how loose he strings his racquet. I was looking into obscure tennis facts the other day and found that Federer strings his at 52 lbs., Roddick at 64 and Blake at a bit higher. Thing is the fewer the lb. pressure, the more power generated by the raquet but most players lose control the...

My recreational reading goes all over the map, mostly I like humor (anything by Merrill Markoe cracks me up) and mysteries, but last week on a whim I went for a halfway serious rec read and picked up 'Blink', and would recommend it to anyone that likes anything dealing with social behavior. It's fun...

Any ideas on how to connect all that to the fact that we have millions of undocumented workers in this country? Weird route the thread took. But the whole idea of tennis being a sport for wusses just needs a reset on how freaking fast they hit the ball. Tell me a guy whose on his last legs and can still return a 130 mph serve in the court, and then get back and return again and again is a wuss? I don't think ...

Sports news, like other news, sometimes goes immediatley to the disaster scenario...like the Baghdadis cramping or Agassi's bad back. The match, all 3 hours and almost 4, was more great tennis than the disaster stuff. You either like it or you don't, but if you like tennis you would love that match....
