Re: OU-Texas in game

Congrats on the win, T1B Horn Fans. I'm very proud of the way OU fought yesterday, especially the defense. As is always the case in this game, turnovers were the difference.

By the way, this game should NEVER move from the Cotton Bowl. The best atmosphere in American sports.

No worries, Wags. The Sooners should be equally bad next year.

Actually, I'm totally in denial and still think OU may salvage the 2009 season. The defense will be sick by the end of the year. Don't tell the gloom-and-doomers on OU Insider.

Well, the golf Gods continue their streak of shitting on fans at major championships. The last six majors, we were cock-teased and almost saw the following winners. 2008 British Open - Greg Norman 2008 PGA - Sergio Garcia 2009 Masters - Kenny Perry 2009 US Open - Phil Mickelson...or...David Duval 20...

Wayman Tisdale was my first Sooner idol as a kid. He was one of the best people ever to grace the campus. This is a tragic loss for OU, the city of Tulsa, and the entire state of Oklahoma. God Bless the Tisdale family. Sooner Nation will be mourning this passing for a long time.

You're right, Harv. Your link to an opinion column about basketball in a Tulsa paper does prove that Texas was right to claim a share of the Big 12 football title. Rack the Gators. OU's mental errors (by both players and coaches) were the difference. The Sooners certainly could have won that game.

Big 12 North: 3-0
Big 12 South: 0-2

During the year the Big 12 North's record against the South was 3-15 with one win over a non-Baylor school...and that was a win over aTm. Ain't CFB grand!?

It would surprise the hell out of me if Stoops left OU. (Warning: Cliches Ahead) He is a God in Oklahoma and makes a ton of money. Re: A Message For Harv, Bill, Camp & Our Other Resident UT Fans

Come on, Harv...you're a rational guy most of the time. If there is even an outside chance that Texas (or Alabama) could jump OU, then you have to understand Stoops going for the 60+ record to lock up the MNC game. This is the system we have. After all, OU went on the road last week and beat an in-s...

SunCoast: Actually, I don't disagree with your point at all. In fact, I can clearly see the logic that the Big 12 was using when they put this tiebreaker in place. The conference wanted to give itself the best chance to get a team in the title game. My point in the original post was just that the tw...

Re: A Message For Harv, Bill, Camp & Our Other Resident UT Fans

I don't mind the fact that Stoops/Wilson called a run up the middle at the end of the game given the situation. Hell, Gundy is to blame for the last score. He called timeout with 28 seconds left. Bradford has barely seen the field in the fourth quarter this year so I don't think you can accuse Stoop...

Agreed on all points. I do think the Big 12 is playing at a better level this year than the Big 10 but the whole "strength of conference" argument is pretty meaningless. See USC for proof.

Feel the love... I haven't really versed myself on the 2009 crop yet but I would assume that OU will focus on Linebackers and D-backs.
