Joey, I'm surprised you're not aware of this, but all goals are exciting.

Unfortunately, goals are the only exciting part of hockey, so we should do whatever we can to the game to get more goals.

Not really a huge surprise. I'll bet if you look at the number of goals scored in the last half or third of last season, the goals scored would be comparable.

The "new NHL" is nothing but a bunch of weak-ass penalty calls and some inventive marketing. The game ain't that different.

About 10 of the Flames games are on PPV. 3 of them are this week alone. :( But I buy them anyway. Usually better to go to a bar for the PPV games, but with all my married friends, that's not always an option. Usually a bunch of us will just go to one guy's house for them and we'll pitch in. As much as I despise the Oilers and everything that they do, this is a good move. The Flames did a big thing last year to raise their banner, and it was really kind of embarrass...

The cap is working. NJ still has to keep their 23 players under $44M. Malakhov and Mogilny were stupid decisions Lou was able to rectify. So circumventing the cap's okay in your books? Gotcha...
