Joey, I'm surprised you're not aware of this, but all goals are exciting.
Unfortunately, goals are the only exciting part of hockey, so we should do whatever we can to the game to get more goals.

About 10 of the Flames games are on PPV. 3 of them are this week alone. :( But I buy them anyway. Usually better to go to a bar for the PPV games, but with all my married friends, that's not always an option. Usually a bunch of us will just go to one guy's house for them and we'll pitch in. Four peo...

For 5 days I will be consoling myself with the fact that at some point Kipper will get hurt and you guys will be in the toilet where you belong. Why bother dressing half your guys when they don't play worth a shit and you know that your goalie with be stoping atoms whizzing by? The Flames play lazy...

I'm pissed that after Saturday the Oil dont play until Thursday. You CANNOT start a season with back to back games against Cowtown and then leave me high and dry for 5 fucking days!!!! I dont think the Thursday game against SJ is even on PPV. [attaches rope to shower curtain rod] They have to that ...

As much as I despise the Oilers and everything that they do, this is a good move. Banners and all that garbage are for the fans and there is no reason to include the players and make a big hoopla over it. The Flames did a big thing last year to raise their banner, and it was really kind of embarrass...

Phoenix SUCKS, no way the Kings finish below them, adding shit like Roenick and Nolan isn't going to help them, and Gretz will be looking for a new job by the end of the season. He isn't a good coach. Phoenix was a decent team with a lot of pieces already in place. They have good young talent and a...

Screw you JD, I have no idea what type of reverse prediction anti-jinxing theory you've got going on here, but seriously Edmonton 1st and Calgary 15th? What's up? Well I just think that Edmonton has improved so much by adding so much scoring with Sykora and Lupul and this is the new NHL and so the ...

How did he do in the World Juniors against Canada when Phaneuf, Weber and Richards were killing him physically and Canada was kicking Russia's ass on the scoreboard? Oh thats right he quit and didn't come out for the third. He must have tired himself out after taunting the Americans the night befor...

teams that can't afford contracts that place them in the upper end of the cap level will start bitching once again that they can't compete with the large payroll teams that can afford to pay someone to sit at home... But do you think they actually WANT to pay someone to sit at home? Sure, Toronto w...

The cap is working. NJ still has to keep their 23 players under $44M. Malakhov and Mogilny were stupid decisions Lou was able to rectify. So circumventing the cap's okay in your books? Gotcha... Nice response. Why don't you save your facetious comments and actually respond to what I said instead of...

I fail to see where the big injustice is. Regardless of whether Mogilny is injured or not, he won't play, and won't count against the cap. Why should the other GM's whine and point the finger, just because they're fucked and Lou found a way out. And regarding the trade with San Jose, there's nothing...

The Flames alone have reaped the rewards of trading with Lacroix. Regehr for Fleury, yup, thank you. Drury and Yelle for Morris, Shantz and McAmmond (who was flipped back to us later that year), happy to do business. Tanguay for Leopold, well, that wasn't Lacroix, but we'll send a thank-you note any...

You just had to schedule this during a Lions' game, didn't you? :D Gonna be tough to crane my neck to pay attention to both. Then again, the Lions will probably be out of the game by the time this starts. Why would a Calgarian be a Lion's fan? Well it's not like I can cheer for Calgary!! When I was...

You will:The Rat Pack wrote:Dale has his hand all over the new NHL. Look at the players he has brought up that are now playing or solidly locked into the farm.
A) gain respect for yourself by naming them
B) gain respect for Dale Hunter by naming them
You should name them, rather than just proclaiming shit.

Best time of the year for games...Madden out this week, NHL out in a couple of weeks...good times. Well, used to be. Now that the 360 is out and the PS3 is on its way, game developers are focusing on those. Unfortunately, I'm getting older and can't justify the cost for a new system for the amount ...

He'd become the 4th Swedish captain in the NHL...the others being Sundin, Alfredsson, and Norstrom of course. This article mentions Forsberg might be named the new captain of the Flyers so that could make the list grow to 5. Or to 6, since Markus Naslund has been the Canucks' captain for a few year...
